How does the left possibly justify that dichotomy?
"just" "justify" "justice" and left never belong in the same sentence.

They will do whatever they want, and if you question them, you go on the list. MSNBCFOXCNNABCCBS will run full scrimage to make sure nobody questions anything.

The average American citizen is a pussy who will happily give up his or her rights because an unqualified goon in the government says so.

With enough power and influence anything can be said.
This right here is a fundamental truth of the world. Simple and can be applied in so many instances.

Hypocrisy, inconsistent, are terms that do not apply to these people. We need to quit thinking that they do.

Something bigger is coming, many here in eastern Europe have kept their weapons incase Russia came again.

But an AKS 74 U works just as well against non Russians i have heard, sure would feel safer with a couple of them in the family, if only i lived in a former soviet state....

Good luck to those of you in the west.

Hey American's have protested.

Just they get branded by the media as Nazi's and banned from social media by big tech.

Remember in Michigan where they protested agains the lockdowns back in April? And how everyone came out and called them grandma killers and Nazi's.

Away with the fairies
Pepper spray for people burning courts and police stations = bad.
Pepper spray for going outside = good.

How does the left possibly justify that dichotomy?
People burning courts and police stations are in America. Let's not import their problems.

The left are not in lock-step across the globe, though that perception seems to be one that is pushed. For example, the 'right' in Britain still use the NHS and support it. A socialised health service is a no-no even amongst most American Leftists.

Not to be a dick, but i don't want a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. I want solutions and answers to why protesting is bad, in any form.

Germany strikes me as the tip of the spear both for allegedly organizing this scam last May with Tedros and co. as well as for pushing back against it with the large scale protests. The people there, generally speaking, seem more informed on this matter than the rest of the world.

May 13, 2019:
Germany´s new role in Global Health – WHO´s best friend?

Just about a fortnight before the World Health Assembly, Germany´s chancellor Angela Merkel welcomed Dr Tedros, WHO´s Director General, at a Global Health conference hosted by the Christian Democratic Party (CDU) group in the German parliament in Berlin. In her speech she highlighted the need to strengthen multilateral cooperation in Global Health and development, thanking Dr Tedros for developing a „Global Action Plan for healthy lives and well-being for All“ jointly with the leaders of 12 Global Health organizations, like the World Bank, the Global Fund ATM and GAVI, the vaccine alliance. This had been requested by Prime Minister Erna Solberg of Norway, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of Ghana and the German Chancellor in April 2018.

Curious to see if anything comes of Reiner Fuellmich's case, he seems to be collaborating with quite the international team.

Could you imagine if shit got this bad in the states with the surplus of guns here?

People think it can't happen, but what happens when people are locked inside for months, the food starts to run out because no one is making or distributing it, people are kept inside by force, mental health is at an all time low, people can't pay for housing and then something happens that sets it off. It'd be the George Floyd riots all over again, but WORSE.

Good on them to protest against these lockdowns. Germans should know very well how that looks like Nazi Germany returning.
No, more like the Soviet Union. Frau Merkel knows her communist tactics pretty well:

I have no idea (I'm just kidding, I do) why people take literal communists (Merkel was a member of a communist movement in her youth), the EU (founded by & populated with dozens of Marxists/globalists/progressives/anti-nationalists of all stripes), watch them enforce stasi-esque tactics & think "wow, it's Nazi Germany all over again!". Despite the fact communists ruled half the country for 45 years so we have a pretty good idea about where these people come from on the political spectrum.

Meanwhile native Germans are under house arrest, their rights are stripped, borders remain open & Muslim/African "refugees" are still forcibly imposed upon the German people (& yes, complaining about any of this usually results in the police knocking on the door). I mean anyone who walks down a street in Berlin 2020 & sees the racial demographics + cultural decay of the German capital & thinks "yeah, this was what Hitler dreamed of!" probably has some pretty good drugs.

It's the only explanation.

Most of them can't think for themselves so they don't justify it, they just do what they're told. As soon as they do start thinking they either repress their thoughts out of fear of being ostracised or they end up getting red pilled.

More news on Germany. Can anyone chime in? I can’t confirm
Fake news. Police can’t enter your home for “any reason”, no such law has been passed and neither has a related right been removed. The German government has deemed larger gatherings at home irresponsible, but they’re not forbidden. I believe only Bavaria has extended social distancing rules to private homes, but even there, police can’t just enter your home.

Good on them to protest against these lockdowns. Germans should know very well how that looks like Nazi Germany returning.
Ironically, a good number number of protesters here in Germany are actual Nazis (as in anti-Semitic, Holocaust denying Hitler fans).

There is literal video footage of neonazis attending the Berlin protests, some of whom are household names in the German right wing extremist and Nazi scene.

Pretty big leap there buddy. Also unless I've missed something have those people taken over said protests and started race wars (In which case your comment would actually apply to the protests. If they did I agree its bad.)? No?

So, you're left with extremists at a protest, in which case every single protest ever.

How is it a big leap? There were many right wing extremists present. For the record, I didn’t say there were mostly right wing extremists, in fact, there were protesters from a wide range of different political world views. Right wing extremists just stick out because they have been trying to hijack the conversation around COVID for political purposes, and they’ve made some very questionable comparisons along the way.

Ehh, you know she is from East Germany right? You cannot simply live in Communist country and not do this type of shit. However Frau Merkel can get fuck herself for that "unfair" treatment of German citizens in here after WW2.... Unfair my ass.

At least they seem consistent and not just apply it against one political faction..

German police is known for cracking down hard on ANTIFA, maybe even moreso than on similar gatherings of the opposite political spectrum.

This is extremely embarrassing. The Americans are quicker to surrender their liberties than the French.
The far-left in America wants liberties eroded, the rest of the left just rolls over like sheep.

As for the right, I think many conservatives were hesitant to protest before the election with President Trump in office as those protests could have hurt him. If Trump is unsuccessful in reversing the election results and Biden takes office, I think we're going to see a lot more conservatives willing to protest.

Personally, I think there needs to be an organized, nationwide day (week?) of mass civil-disobedience related to masks.

There’s a pandemic and you all think it’s a global attempt to Erode your liberties
Because it is.

Because those who wish to erode our liberties are opportunists and a pandemic is a perfect opportunity for them to act.

9/11 was a terrible event that was used to erode our liberties. COVID-19 will be no different if we don't wise up, use what we learned from post-9/11 actions, and stop it from happening.

Or if you live in a country that’s successfully defeated the virus and have had our full liberties restored

It’s just conspiracy bollox and it’s what it says on the tin. A pandemic that needs human co-operation.

Work together for the betterment of you and your neighbours you’ll get back to normal quicker

Keep fighting backwith conspiracy rubbish enjoy extending the pain to you and your neighbours

150 days+ COVID free and living life normally!

You should have single payer health care too. It’s fantastic

Good for you, but the US doesn't work that way. Once our liberties are gone, they are, unfortunately, likely not coming back. This is something we've learned from 9/11.

You should have single payer health care too. It’s fantastic
No thanks.

More shower thoughts guys. I don't feel I have much to say on the subject. Just an epiphany from the changing narratives over the past 8 months and images of recent protests.

So the problem;
I'm struggling to capture whether opposing lockdown measures is a partisan issue or not. Reading around I find left leaning and right leaning environments to be for, but usually I find it's always left leaning that are vocal AGAINST THOSE opposing. However let's not forget the labelling of the George Floyd fallout as a disregard for lockdown, but I think that was an accusation of double standards toward those who were telling us to abide by lockdown while they supported the gatherings everywhere.

Forget all that.

Where are we;
I think there are different reasons for opposing
I think the issue is uniting left/right leaning on different terms
I think the opposition to the lockdown opposition is socially left, but sometimes politically "right" (I can't call the UK Conservative party right wing lol)

You mean like New Zealand that will lock down an entire city over a few positive test results that may not be infectious at all? That ain't normal.

[It’s just conspiracy bollox and it’s what it says on the tin. A pandemic that needs human co-operation.
This is no longer a pandemic and you inadvertently helped make that case above. The PCR tests are misused, their results twisted to make it sound like they represent infectious cases. The same applies to hospitalizations and deaths where something like cancer will get you labeled with covid. Just as it happened in the southern hemisphere, the flu will magically "disappear" this fall/winter season and be replaced by covid.

Work together for the betterment of you and your neighbours you’ll get back to normal quicker
The goal was to avoid overwhelming hospitals, that was achieved despite all attempts to crash the health care system with the ridiculous overreaction. You're not helping your neighbors by continuing to follow these orders, you're helping the power hungry monsters that fooled you into believing masks, distancing and business closures would make the situation better - they clearly have not.

Keep fighting backwith conspiracy rubbish enjoy extending the pain to you and your neighbours

That pain you're referring to isn't coming from a virus, it's coming from the ridiculous response. The masks, distancing and lock downs are the problem, not the solution.

This virus would have come and gone like any other bad flu season if we weren't hammered over the head with over-the-top propaganda about collapsing people in the streets, sensationalized (and fake) stories about dying children and twenty/thirty-somethings, trucks spraying down city streets (come on, can we all agree that was hilarious in hindsight? China, Iran and Russia all posted stories about it), etc.

Thr only pandemic is in the elderly. 80 to 90 % of deaths are in seniors with multiple health conditions.

For the rest of us its at most a global health crisis.

How are all these old sick people getting sick and dying? Think about how many 70 or 80 year olds with 2 or 3 health conditions do you see in a day? How many 80 year olds with cancer or renal failure or hypertension do you pass by everyday?

Maybe we should ask how the world leaders and science totally failed and did nothing properly to address the pandemic in the elderly population. How people who live in nursing homes which is essentially a permanent lockdown make up the majority of deaths.

But if the fear is kept alive then no one will asks these questions and our so called leaders will get away with it. Dont bother with the man behind the curtain.

Its YOUR fault. YOU spread the virus because you arent a good little boy or girl and your punishment is no freedoms. This is the equivalent of your grounded with no dinner but it was really dad that broke moms vase.

and French now..

Lol at "bringing the story the moment they happen". The video shows French people in cafes, which have been closed for the past weeks. Those are not "right now" events, probably from last September. Also "hundreds of people" demonstrating in Paris is nothing, relevant demonstrations start at several thousands.
