Translation of Gyakuten Kenji/Ace Attorney Investigations review:

弁護士から検事に職業が変わっていますが、ゲームの根幹はしっかりと継承。犯行現場を再現できる“情報再現”など、新たな要素も魅力です。もちろん『逆転』シリーズならではのムジュンを暴く展開もアツイ! 証拠を駆使して、相手の証言を突き崩すせめぎ合いは相変わらず楽しいです。
The basis of the game was succeeded though hero's occupation changed from the lawyer into the prosecutor.
The new elements such as information reproduction modes are attractive.
Of course there is the hot story to uncover contradiction only by the Gyakuten series.
It is pleasant that I refute the testimony of the criminal with evidence.

Direction is splendid.
Timing of message and the sound effects enliven the game.
Even if Mitsurugi becomes a hero, the sense to play does not change very much.
Being possible to confront it in the scene of the crime was different from Gyakuten Saiban, and I was interesting.

"Gyakuten" is still a key word in the scenario though the stage of the game shifted from court to the scene of the crime.
I thought that story development was forcible. In addition, I thought that the impression of the people who appeared for Gyakuten Saiban series was too strong.
I was surprised by a splendid device.
Mini characters and the screens of the conversation with the sense of reality, new elements go well.

There is not the outstanding evolution, but Gyakuten series is interesting.
Direction is exquisiteness.
When the logic mode and inference succeed, I am refreshing.
Fans of the series have nice events.
It is easy to play narrowness of the investigation range just well.
There are forcible inference and development. However, it may be said that these are qualities of Gyakuten series.

Also gameplay around 16 hours apparently.

Before anyone gets too excited/angry, let me point out that's a remake of a GBC game.

A reasonable source of rage, since that never came out here (too late in the GBC's life, and cart size and use thereof would have made translation a nightmare). I was hoping it would have been added to Star Ocean: Second Evolution as a post-game scenario, since it was the direct sequel to the game it was a remake of, Star Ocean: the Second Story.

It would be nice if they pulled a FF4: the After Years here.

Hmm, okay I saw it... same artwork as Portable Ops...
Ugh, seeing the image reminded me of something...

Yoji Shinkawa said that MGS4 was the last Metal Gear game he'd be doing design and art for. We're going to be stuck with Ashley Wood on mainline games too, now.

His art isn't bad, and it's very unique, but god damn. The tone of his work is completely different from Shinkawa's, and not in a refreshing way. It's really distracting.

Queen's Blade is basically soft core hentai, what did you expect?

Imagine the shittiest version of Dynasty Warriors possible and top it off with shitty boss fights that all play exactly the same. Then you have the stiff controls and low-grade PS2 graphics (That filter is mainly just some cheap effect placed over the screen rather than something cool like what you saw in say, Stretch Panic) complete with garbage animation.

Ugh. Such a disappointment. From what I've seen the game looked to be awesome. The game looked really cool and could have been great in the right hands. Unfortunately Jaleco did not pull a Wayforward.

No. Keep in mind that everything is cardboard (flat) like Paper Mario.

It certainly doesn't look so from that picture.

Good to see nice scores for Kingdom Hearts. Seems this game has more of what made the Organization interesting in CoM and less of what made it stupid in KHII.

Man, those guys love Sony. If Sony isn't at the top, they don't know what to do with themselves. Heh, heh.

NinoKuni looks fantastic as expected. Iirc we're still waiting for the anouncement of a second platform. Hopefully they hint at something in those 5 pages of text.

What is with all the Armored Core games 0_o

And From Software unleashed its porthammer...

Tip to Sony: Skip portable on your handheld's name next time

Level 5 scoop is great, Ninokuni looks freaking awesome. Now the localizations worries as usual (not just about their existence but their timing) :/

Oh darn. I just realized Tenchu 3 is the From Software countdown then :( Boooooooooo

They're milking those franchises for all they're worth now. The PSP will get a heavy dose of Armored Core and Tenchu over the next few months. Let's hope their strategy works.
