Famitsu Sales: 9/2/19 – 9/8/19

Famitsu has published its estimated physical game software and hardware sales data for Japan for the week of September 2, 2019 to September 8, 2019.

The highest selling new release this week was Monster Hunter World: Iceborne for PlayStation 4, which sold 250,316 retail copies between the Master Edition and standard edition. The PlayStation 4 version of NBA 2K20 also made the top 10 at 13,461 copies sold.

On the hardware side, Switch sold 77,392 units, the PlayStation 4 family sold 33,728 units, and the 3DS family sold 1,518 units.

Poor Xbox. Even the Sakurai endorsement telling everyone to play Banjo on it did nothing to help.

Titanic was called the Ship of Dreams, and it was. It really was.
This is sad. I know everybody will think these numbers are phenomenal, but this is one of the biggest franchises in Japan. Anyway, congratulations Capcom..
