You got numbers from Famitsu...a company that only has access to physical game sales. It's an oudated metric and it will become even more so in the future with PS5 being available much cheaper for the digital edition only. As we speak you got more than 1M PS5 consoles in Japan that hav no disc drive and you got no access to those sales.

You also don't know if F2P games are more successful or not because you got no data on those.

Genshin on other hand should be atound ~500m in first 2 years (it's equal to 7 mil @70$) - Genshin earned 1 bil on Playstation in 2 years and I estimate Japan to be the biggest part of it (non-Asian countries contribute only ~20% of total Genshin revenue and non-Japan Asia is PC-centric)

PS5 was even above Switch 2 in Japan a few days ago. Now they are both 5 and 6 on Amazon's daily best sellers.
I was expecting PS5 to reach 20k this next week after selling lik 5k last week but who knows...maybe it will do better.

Yeah, it's tracking well on AMZ, and retailers like Yodobashi Camera, Bic Camera, and Rakuten seem to have even better deals. Btw, here's my post with the PS BF deals from 2024, for easier comparison with the ones I mentioned in my previous reply.

Yeah, just looked it up. Some good promos on both PS5 HW and 1st party SW.

Sales start tomorrow so there should be a noticeable bump come next week.
