YES! RIGHT INTO MY VEINS!

Throw me Donnie Yen and like Milla Jovovich and we have a winner.

It'll be like the GI Joe Retaliation sequel.

Also, what happens to Vin's salt when the spinoff grosses more than the original?

Heading towards yearly movies then? One with Vin, other with Dwayne.

Can kind of understand Vin being pissed a bit if they handled this poorly, and even rightfuly so to some extend. But I guess he is on board now if it goes ahead.

This is gonna be great.

I'm hyped.

Any guesses for the title?

The Cop and The Criminal
Furiousmon: Black and White
They should call the mainline series The Fast [subtitle] and this one The Furious [subtitle].

Vin just has to realize he is nowhere near a bankable star. He tried with Riddick, he tried with XXX, just sit back and be happy you have the Fast series.

Also pretty sure Rock is not shy about saying he's sequel Viagra and probably equates this series going so huge in part to him.

Given how their action scenes in F8 played out I'm expecting less car based set pieces and more of your typical Hollywood action choreography, not necessarily a bad thing - just as a point of difference.

Yes, but the studio has to keep him happy a bit for the Fast series. I think they just let him do Riddick under the condition he continued the Fast movies.

They should get Jovovich to play the villainess.

Leave Donnie outta movies like this, he'll barely get to spread his wings when he's in movies with an ensemble cast, just look at what they did to Tony Jaa in F&F7 and Jet Li in The Expendables.

Here's the thing, if the draw is Johnson and Statham playing off each other in a film together do they even need to spinoff their characters from the Fast and the Furious? Why not just write an original action feature for them that doesn't require the need to further contort their characters into the roles they want them to play?

They want the connection to increase the chance of success.

He got punked in Fast 5 during Dom/Hobbs fight. Took some of that Bane juice to never let that happen again.

Then they had the cheek to have Vin being able to go toe to toe against Jason Statham multiple times haha

Because you have a successful film series with characters people want to see more of?

Uh, of course they are going to use a tie in with a huge mega franchise. The idea is to make money with a spinoff, not just make a movie with those two.

The sad part for Vin at least is his the least interesting character in these movies now.

Others have surpassed him. The Rock definitely has in fact if Vin wasn't in the next film I doubt many people would be upset.

I don't disagree with you, it just feels like to me that to most people it is more about these actors than the characters themselves.

That's true as well. I think The Rock and Jason play versions of themselves that people like to see. The imbue the film with energy. Vin brings it too a crawl.

Supersonic, idiotic, disconnecting, not respecting, who would really ever wanna go and top that
Good. The crew is way too big at the moment. Hobbs and Deckard doing something else gives it breathing room. When the squad is double digits deep, you're gonna end up with characters who only get bit parts.
