FCC wireless chip filing makes me think Sony will announce new Vita hardware

If this somehow got made and I could play my entire existing PS3 library on it I would completely lose my shit. I'd also stop caring about the NX very quickly.

...And it would be awesome as hell if it were true. The Vita is an excellent machine, too bad people didn't buy it. Phones and tablets are great to have, and are great at what they are designed for, but they aren't designed as traditional video game machines. A dedicated game machine with actual buttons (!!!) and control pads will win me over every time.

Turns out it was for the PS4 Pro, it uses a 5Ghz Wifi chip in certain models.

OLED apparently is now cheaper to produce than LCD.
Even Apple will use OLED for the next macbook and iPhone apparently. As more and more manufactures opt for OLED the cost of LCD should increase.
If Sony ever plan to make a revision of the Vita in the future it'd make sense to go back to OLED. But they probably will just discontinue it instead.
