So, if you had to pick between Tales of Legendia, Shadow Hearts 3, and Grandia, which would you get?

Mind you, I really enjoyed all 3 previous titles (tales of symphonia in the tales case).
 
I'm getting all 3 so I don't have to worry about such questions. I have no hope for all 3 of them by the way. Played Grandia 3, battles were unbalanced (plus Mana Eggs are the worst creation in any game ever). Played Shadow Hearts 3, wasn't exactly the setting I liked but it'll work out I guess. Must play them in English since I'm not that good with Japanese anyway.
 
All three will be mine eventually.

I'm expecting the most out of Grandia III. So I'll be getting that one first.

I never liked any of the Suikoden games, but I'll probably buy Suikoden V anyway. I probably won't play it though... the main character gives me the creeps. Seriously "boy raised in a country full of women" I'm assuming he's going to be seriously queer. I remember the huge debate over "male or female" when pictures were first released. And I made a comment about how hot "her" legs were. :lol

Suikoden IV has sold more than Advent Rising.

Suikoden V is the only true game to be released in March aside from MGS3:S and supposedly Kingdom Hearts II. Do not believe these...non believers. They're tricking you.

I personally sold 12 copies of Suikoden IV on Amazon for $30 each. No lie.

Pff it looked like he was raised by amazons or something. Why would they mention it was full of women if it was full of men, too? Maybe you should be calling the creator an idiot.
 
I really hope the Ys port sells well on PSP... doubtful, but a PSP port of Oath of Felghana would be friggin amazing. As for the Feb RPGs... well I kinda hoped I'd have DQ8 finished before these games came out - but I'm gonna go for SH:FTNW and ToL... Grandia III can wait a little bit, all the negative impressions across the board really scared me off.

Well, Suikoden III came out against Grandia Xtreme, Legaia 2, and Wild Arms 3, and it still managed to sell almost 200K total. If Suikoden V is at least as good as Suikoden III, it should do as well.

Suikoden is mainstream enough. Or the few fans it has are scary monsters. I once said I hated Suikoden 2 and this guy threatened to rape my mother and announced my address to me and then took pictures of himself holding spiked dildos and sent them to me and dissappeared.
 
Well I really don't like any of them. It's not that I hate them, I just can't enjoy them. Maybe one day something will make me get into one, but that hasn't happened so far. I also lasted pretty long on Suikoden Tactics surprisingly.

I don't like the perspective in battle or the animations. I don't really like how the battles flow either. The whole picking an enemy and then if you try to attack an enemy that already poofed you didn't get to take your turn. The music tended to bore me easily and the same thing happened with Suikoden 1. I guess it wasn't presented to me well enough, though I'm not even a graphics whore. It's just one of those games I couldn't enjoy. We're all different though, some of us like things that others just hate. Like uh... I love random dungeons in Dark Cloud 2 but a lot of people hate it. And I like FF9 but a lot of people hate it... etc. :P
 
Maybe it's just me, but for me Suikoden isn't mainstream because I don't know the Chinese legend it's based on. Like, at all. I only got Suikoden III because it got stellar reviews, and even though I've played most of the way through it, I still don't know what the Suikoden legend is. I almost finished the original Suikoden and had the same problem: I just don't know the mythology behind it, so it doesn't seem special.

Lol, the chance of Suikoden V being anywhere near as good as KH2 is very very low.

And wow, Konami translators work crazy fast considering that the game isn't coming out until the end of Feb in Japan.

Uhhmmm, no. If you've read any of my impressions/reviews of the game I said over and over that KH2 is fucking awesome and give it a 9.4/10. The game would get a 10/10 if the ending didn't go downhill. I will be buying the US release and playing through it again with English voices the day the US one comes out.

KH2 is amazing.

Suikoden V could still be good and all. I'm just saying unless it's OMG GOTY calibur it's not gonna be better than KH2.

I hope Suikoden V is good and sells well! I need me a Harmonia based Suikoden VI on PS3/X360!
