Indeed. I've been pretty down on the idea of my favourite game getting this sort of treatment, but that shot of Barret and Cloud walking through the slums alone was enough to convince me that maybe a remake isn't such a bad idea after all.

the bone doesnt have anything even remotely resembling the 360 audience though..
and as I and others have said type-0 did not sell at all on the bone so unless 15 magically takes off it will be the last.
ff13 games did ok, type-0 did nothing

Now I wonder how they will do the infamous airship cut-scene with Tifa's early 90's over the top boob physics.
The idea of a media campaign with new character art, world art, music, summons, everything all over again just seems mind boggling. It is going to be amazing to see just what changes and how.
I hope they keep the ATB just for tradition's sake, but feel free to add a few flourishes on top of it.

I still think its coming out on Xbox. Just my 2c.
Type-0 is a PSP port. FFVII has more of a following than a side game.
Type-0 is a poor barometer of FF fan interest.
I skipped it and I have almost all the mainline games.

Well, the trailer does say "Play it FIRST on Playstation 4", so it has to come to Xbone and to PC.

Don't you think this game is iconic enough to sell millions on Xbox One regardless of where the majority of the series' fanbase makes camp? I mean, it is Final Fantasy 7. We all have our own favourite entries (mine is 8), but I think it's unquestionable that 7 is the most recognized and influential.
I say this as a PC and PS4 owner by the way. I'm not here hoping for an Xbox One release, it's just that it seems likely to me that it will happen. I can see a Final Fantasy 7 remake easily selling 10+ million copies, maybe even reaching Skyrim's 20 million. I think the name of the game alone carries enough to weight to shift millions on any platform it launches on.
My 2c: buy a PS4 if you want to play this game before the next decade.

They'll probably still hit the important notes (Cloud crossdressing, bath scene with burly gay men,) but yeah, the details may be different.
Then again, this is being made by a Japanese team, and to my knowledge the Japanese give significantly fewer fucks about the crowd that would have issues with a faithful recreation of that sequence than an American team would, since that crowd just isn't as vocal over there.
