Thanks to Wario64's advice, I dropped by Gamecrazy after work today and picked up a copy of Final Fantasy X-2 for my shiny new PSTwo, brand new, original shrink wrap and all for a whopping $5. You can easily argue that it's not the system's best RPG, but for $5 it's worth it just to fill some shelf space. I actually paid more for FFX used.

When you're chasing after the people in the beginning of the game around the docks with Paine and Rikku, there's a moogle hiding out in one of them you have to talk to

I didn't find out until I glanced at a guide in my magazine (that helps achieve 100%)

I stopped playing shortly after that

Fucking great game. Seriously. Granted, what you need to do to get the "best ending" is ridiculous and stupid, if you miss shit, you can just do New Game + after and go from there. More RPGs should do that.

If they want to have special unlockables, make it like Kingdom Hearts and let me complete the main story, then do the bonus requirements.

Yeah seriously. I -never- get 100% on the first playthrough in a game. Kinda takes the fun out of it, if you're obsessed with not missing anything.

I don't obsess over games that don't have insane 100% requirements to unlock special (or "true") endings.

You have the main story, you finish it, you move on. Keep it that way.

Pfft, the only time I got 100% in a game was Metroid Prime, and I quickly learned getting to that point was probably the biggest waste of time I've ever made. All those extra hours/backtracking to get three digits instead of two. Jesus Christ.

I don't think I've ever gotten 100% completion in anything.. though if FFVII had a counter I'm sure I would've gotten it. The only thing I've never done is gotten Aeris her final limit break. I got her both of her Level 3's, but never gotten the item for the 4th to her.

I've completed lots of games. I beat Gunstar Heroes just a week ago. Only four RPGs, though, and those are FFVII, BoF3, Grandia II and Paper Mario: TTYD.

The first cutscene is awful. I felt so gay watching it. It was like I was 8 yrs old again having to sit through a Jem cartoon with my sister.

Its the only FF I didn't bother beating. Who cared? But it was fun for about 10 hours of it.

Ummm, you don't need 100% to get that ending. I played the game twice. Never looked at the percentage either time. Just had fun and did all the stuff I could find. Who cares about getting 100%? Do you people collect 99 of every item in every game you play and level your party to lvl.99 just because you need 100% saves as well?
