*sigh* I'd love to see an unrestricted, PC-only FFXI. I mean some of this stuff looks really nice and you can see that they're *trying* to make interesting environments, but the limitations of the PS2 have always brought down the overall visual appeal.

You guys are spoiled brats; I've never played a game for PS2, GC, Xbox, Dreamcast or a less-than-six-year-old PC and stick to PS1 and N64, yet you don't see me complaining about graphical limitations. I've learned to be happy with what I have.

Okay, but i'm not sure why that makes everyone else spoiled brats based on a choice you made.

Belfast is right, PS2 tech is outdated compared to what can be done on the PC and it's holding back FFXI.

PC tech would also be holding it back. So what?

Compared to what, a PC an year into the future brought back by future man so we can play games that have graphics compared to nothing nowadays cbecause it's from the future and the future rocks?

Well futureman is on vacation buddy.

Yes and no- if you don't have the expansion you can still play with people who do. However, you won't be able to go into any of the new zones or do any of the new quests or missions the expansion adds. You also will not be able to use any new jobs that are added (if any).
