Yes you can. It's best to have one of your retainers be your class/job so you can give them all your old gear so they can run quick ventures and get good stuff.

Yes and no. All rewards go by the type of venture it is, and since gathering jobs are the only ones with access to the 18 hour gathering ventures only they can get those rewards ect.

On the other hand all quick ventures are the same reward pool regardless of class. And all battle type jobs have the same venture selection so in that regard your choice of healer or tank or whatever doesn't matter
