Fire Emblem Fates coming to Europe on May 20th

Are there any European copies of the LE available? I'm in the UK but due to the shit show with Game was unable to secure a pre order. The LE is the only way I'm interested in this title.

Amazon.de still had some pop up a few times in the last days as people cancelled their pre-orders (they still had it up as 90EUR, while you could get it for 80EUR at most other places). You should keep an eye on the site, more people might cancel their pre-order for the second batch, which won't come before June - I can see some people buying the game some other way before this.

My postman from hell (DHL) decided to drop off the game at the post office eventually, so I'll pick up my second copy on monday.
I eventually got my in-store pick-up from Media Markt late yesterday, thank you, chill red-bearded man that stopped cashier duty to serve me at the info counter (where I showed up for the third time that day).

Would sell now if you plan on, price will likely drop a good bit like the Skull Kid statue did

EDIT: Was game supposed to give away a theme with the CE purchase? Also is the theme special or same one you can buy on the store?

So amazon responded to a querry and they just said that the my fire emblem LE has not shipped from the gross retailer (presumably nintendo) so thats why they are taking longer..

Anybody bought from amazon.de and received it?

You're the guy who posted about the June 15th date on the previous page, right? A fair amount of the Amazon.de orders always had the June date because they allocated out orders from the second shipment as well. My understanding is that the June date was always listed as the estimated delivery date for those though. Are you sure you didn't just miss that it said that before?

Yeah it definately said may 20th. Oh well if im still getting it im fine with it since i already downloaded the japanese version anyways

That's rather odd. For some people it changed from June to May, but the other way around does not make too much sense. You should check the original order confirmation and see what it said on there. Perhaps you can get a discount if you have proof for your case.

So, I have two LE of FE Fates now...I didn't get a coin but a numbered poster...

The game feels snappier than FE Awakening. I also wanted to experience the true FE and decided to begin the game in Normal and Classic (killed units do not come back). I hope it won't be too hard.

Also, the French localization is top notch. No memes or awkward lines. It uses formal language well.

There are too many units anyways, imo. Plus you can capture non-named units, if you have a prison in your town. I haven't played too much with the captured units yet, but i can see them being useful for some maps.

A heads up for those starting the game. Choose Hard to begin with. You can always lower the difficulty mid-game (between battles), but you can never raise the difficulty.

Look, Nintendo, I really want to pick up this game, but why don't you knock on your neighbor Sega's door and tell them to solve their stuff once and for all and bring their RPGs to Europe too? Otherwise a single game won't be enough to pick up my 3DS again.

Where the heck did you put your 3DS that it's so difficult to pick it up again?

If you already have the console and really want to pick up this game, why wouldn't you? Besides, what does Nintendo have to do with Sega? That's a dumb argument if I've ever seen one.

"I have a 3DS and really want the game, but until you get other publishers to bring their games over, consider my 3DS a hostage."

This makes no sense.

Wait, those preorder coins are worth money?

Since I bought eShop cards to get the midnight release I cancelled my Conquest preorder, but the guy behind the counter still shoved two preorder pouches into my hands as I left (maybe as a friendly gesture since I sold a lot retro stuff there that time).

I don't really trust eBay to sell my stuff without getting screwed over tho...

Even known retailers are joining the scalping and selling the SEs on amazon.de marketplace for a little under 200€, and they keep selling.

I's crazy

I managed to get my LE at launch, gave it to my brother to play first though (one campaign at least) because I'm really nice! :P

Can someone confirm the LE cart with both games on it has the white/black mix label on the cart? Just checking EB didn't stuff up and give a regular one in the box or something stupid lol.

Is there any way to redeem a code for the first additional maps season pass on the web?
Or do you absolutely need to buy it in-game after reaching chapter 6?
(Asking for EU version of course)

Not sure I want the LE stuff, I'm good with just the cartridge and standard case.
This thread makes me wonder how much I could get for that stuff...
Things like just the outer box, artbook, and pouch are sold for more than retail price for the whole package in the case of the US SE, if wishing to gauge scalping prospects.

Hmmm... I'm bending.
I never look at art books more than once and haven't touched the steelbook or poster and likely won't do. Hmmm...

Cheers for the info.

Got my edition from Game in good condition.
I feel that their new packages are getting worse every time though...

Artbook is pretty bad also, feels like they just threw a bunch of art without thinking or any order or logical thinking, Bravely Default was the same, I don't know if this is the norm for Nintendo's artbooks but it just seems like it's just "there" to say that there's an artbook in the collector box (and I'm not even talking about its format).

My order shipping date from amazon.de still hasn't changed :(

Oh well, at least I'll have Overwatch to tide me over till late next month.

Thalia refunded my purchase.

Is there any place where I can still get the LE edition? Otherwise I just buy Birthright and download everything else from eShop.

I agree overall, but the last pages with the pixel art characters and the voice actors' signatures really put a smile on my face. I also liked the FE timeline they included (which shows you how many of the games the west missed out on, yay...).

...I'm totally selling the packaging and keeping the game, the art book is lame and I was going to throw the rest out anyway.

Anyone know what the deal is with forging? When selecting a character to forge for, it has other character names in the "Stock" column, and I'm not sure what that means.

It means those other characters have a weapon of the same type.

EG. You want to forge Corrin's iron sword. You have a spare one in the convoy, and a samurai is also holding another. You can choose the forge to combine yours with the one in convoy, or the one the samurai is holding, leaving the second character without a weapon. This is done to streamline things, also with choosing items- it allows you to select from your entire armies resources, letting you know if someone is equipped with it, so you can see the options for forging even if your kit is spread across 30 people.

It's also worth visiting other castles If they pop up in the square, to get the ingredients needed for forging- each castle has two resources it makes (mine are vegetables and Amber), but you can get others from other people. Differen weapons need different gems.

Extremely helpful, thanks! And I wondering why I was producing so much ruby and milk!
