well, I hope DoC is good in that case- regardless, I'm sure it would be nothing but a 'pet project' next to something on the level of FFXIII.

I'm actually pretty excited about Dirge, though- especially after the latest media I've seen.

It was my understanding that the vast majority of the work for the game had been completed or designed by Matsuno before whatever happened to him happened, and that the guys they brought in to complete it were simply finalizing his vision (currently under his supervision).

Of course, this could just be some bullshit PR line, but I hope not. Matsuno has made some absolutely AMAZING games and I have no reason to believe this won't be another one.

Don't be. I've played it back at the Square Enix show in August and it was pretty damn terrible Should be getting it in a couple of days, but yeah I expect one of the worst 3d action/shooters I've ever played but with hopefully nice cutscenes and maybe, just maybe, an ok story ^^:

FWIW, I'm convinced XIII will be on PS2. I think it's been in development for years and the announcement is being held back because XII isn't out yet. I'm thinking PS2 in November FTW.

Some people on 2ch already have Dirge and say it sucks.
Also Famitsu haven't rated it very highly, apparently.

Your prediction could very well be accurate... the FF12 team was basically independent of the usual Square suspects, correct?

They've been busy, but I highly doubt they have been focusing all of their energy on KH...
