I'm in once the founder's edition crap passes, as the 1080 is just too expensive in Canada (not that we know exactly what the 1070 costs yet, I guess).

Didn't realize its peak power consumption was so low either.

Should be a nice upgrade from my 7970, which has been great to me for a while.

Come to daddy! This is right in my price range, too bad my card died before they were widely available.

So how does EVGA's step up program work if I wanted to get a FTW 1070? Get a 960 FTW and hope they come out within the 90 days? Is that even a possibility with these founder cards out there? I'm using a "borrowed" 970 right now since my 560 died.

FE will be 499€ in Europe (Germany). So probably around 450€ for the basic non-FE models and 450-500€ for the good versions. A used 980 Ti is also roughly at 450€. One benchmark I want to see is typically overclocked 980 Ti vs. typically overclocked 1070.

According to WCCFtech the FE and non-FE 1070s (from GALAX and Inno3D at least) will all go on sale on June 10th.

Along with the pictures, we also have information that NVIDIA will officially lift the NDA on the GeForce GTX 1080 on 30th May. While reviews will be available for users to read the same day, the graphics card will officially hit the retail shelves on 10th June in both reference and non-reference flavors.

Both the 1070 and 1080 look to be great cards. Unlike the 980-970 situation where the 970 was better value than the 980.

I am ready for upgrade from 270X, but I will wait a bit to see what will P10 have to offer.

So far 1070 looks to be a great card if I could get it for 400€ [or less].

My dog was murdered by a 3.5mm audio port and I will not rest until the standard is dead
So the x80 finally substantially pulls away from the x70 model. Nice. Still, the x70 model is the most important one as it's the most popular. I think I'll grab the x70 over the x80 as I'm a 1080p comfy couch gamer.

Resale value of used 980 Ti crashing in 3...2...1....

Full GP100 as used in Tesla P100 will likely never make it to a consumer GPU.

Yup, at this point I might not even sell my 980Ti when I get an upgrade (need 1080Ti info!).
Funny thing is my card is still 700 euros plus here on several retailers.

I also have a x51 (r3 though)
Power will not be an issue then??

Any information if the 1070 will fit in the case?

People used 970s which are more power hungry so it should be fine. It's even less than the 960 based on graph so it should be no problem. Not sure on length yet.

Heh, I guess it depends which way you look at it. I'm relatively happy as 980Ti owner as neither card - or this years known game line-up - makes me feel I need to sell and jump. By time the GP102 comes around it'll probably be worth the jump for the same or less money.

And whatever AMD have.

If I were upgrade it would be only for the 2.5 performance gain in VR, as my 980ti is doing fine in normal games and I haven't had any issues running VR games. I just recently got an oculus rift but I couldn't wait for the 1080/70 to drop so I bought a 980ti ( stupid of me, but it's running everything great)

2.5x boost is achievable only in veeeeeery specific situations. Nvidia used their full marketing might to spin that 2.5x figure, but gains wont be anywhere close to that in regular VR gaming situations.
