That title got me triggered.
Guess there is no room for characters with any personality nowadays. Let alone young ones.
I am getting the game. Not often we get a new ip. Want to try it myself.
Edit: I liked the demo but it does throw you in without any character, story and powers development.
It’s a shame that fun is clearly not allowed anymore and anything has to have good writing whatever it means. I hate that term.
And now also people whine that world is empty. So we want Ubisoft open world now again? The world is populated so you can run for 5 seconds without distraction

Dude i'm getting the game day one and i still find her cringy as fuck.

I don't even hate the idea of her being a vulgar chick from NY and saying shit and fuck when he kills enemies, you don't become an harward professor or a souls npc just because you get magical powers, half of the people in here would say the same shit most probably, it is somehow kinda realistic and fresh i guess.

But the game try too fuckind hard, at a certain point she says holy banannas (yeah with the double N)...like cmon.

I had my opinion formed after 3 hours with the demo and the final game can only be better for a number of reasons that are easy to understand for non-haters (but i fully understand people who bash this game, it's not an easy one to love)

I don't expect anything more than a 6,5-7 experience but anything remotely similar to infamous make me a lil bitch.

In the end i only payed 35 euros for it.

Every game doesn't need good writing, or even much writing at all. But if you're gonna have lots of dialogue and story, at least make sure it's not extremely annoying, bad and cringey? I'd rather have a super basic story without much writing than bad writing.

It's weird that I never connected this with infamous. It acually makes me interested in the game but I'm just not a fan of the main character.

It plays a little differently but:

Super fast protagonist with magic parkour
Elemental powers
Mix of ranged and melee (the fire whip kinda look like the smoke chain, the rock power kinda feel like the concrete power)
You shoot stuff from your hands and both games focus on shooting while moving without using L2 to precise aiming that much
Open world

More than enough for me to see the similarities, althought infamous is way more ranged focused and way less acrobatic\floaty\flashy.

I hate the protagonist but i hate many protagonist in games and i still enjoy them.

The important thing is to get in with realistic expectations and the demo helped a lot.

I think i am going to buy this. I have nothing to play right now and I liked the demo much more than I expected. I sort of enjoyed the gameplay loop and parkour. It should be possible to min max your gear and nuke the opposition with OP spells.

Forspoken feels a bit like a Mordor with less bloat.

Not to cause alarm, but I think this might be another Day one stinker game:
The VGC one is more personal as Andy Robinson tweeted this one was rolling for a while. I'd love to know what happened there.

Windows Central is an Xbox site so no shit sherlock 😂

Skill up I don't know but I base my YouTube reviewers on one thing... their Cyberpunk 2077 review. The yellow chair fiasco soured me on a few of them. If he was bribed there, I'm happy he didn't get one, if he gave an honest appraisal of the game then that fucking sucks

Anyone know what 7 were mentioned? All I'm seeing is the same 3

lol at the OT name, great one. :) Thanks for the info.
Played the demo and had fun with it, not the best looker but the 60fps is worth it for me. Gonna wait for a sale tho, hopefully it turned out good.

I went to download the demo right after I typed my last post but hard drive is full.
So having a personality means being annoying and obnoxious?

Sorry but i rather have a plank of wood as a character over this one. At least i would be able to go through the whole game.
Yeah, I'd rather have the plank of wood character as well. Its' so annoying. I find the character/girl to be so pretty but her game personality/lines just rubs me the wrong way. I can see why some folks would like it though.

Is it? Is the little banter there is during combat really such a big issue? Or have you played the game already?
I don’t mind banter personally. Especially in Japanese game lol.
Don’t touch ff7 remake then. You will hate it

Ι usually prefer the silent protagonist in games, generally. Because i prefer to put myself in their boots.

When i have to play a game with a character who has a personality, the more subtle it is, the better.

The (nowadays trendy) sassy teen girl of color who tries to sound snarky at situations that would normally inspire awe and fear is the worst character i can possibly think of.

She is a New Yorker. I wouldn’t look too deep into it

Don't expect the same gameplay of infamous tho.

This one has a steep learning curve before you are gonna be able to play decently, it is gonna feel jerky AF for the first hour.

also adjust these settings before starting:

Parkour on toggle instead of hold
Turning down how much they talk
Auto-picking objects
120hz in the display options to make all the modes more fluid
Set climbing to semi-auto
Set magic wheel to toggle instead of hold
switch to magic that is not in cooldown (i don't remember the exact name of the setting)
Auto use the health potion (because during combat can be hard to see the small health bar)

Remember that you can change type of magic with the dpad or the touchpad, you don't need to go into any menu or bullet time.

Oh and the game never tells you that square button is a whip to climb those red rocks in the open world or to avoid enemies (it's like a fast evade move)

P.s. switch directly to hard, normal is a cakewalk.
