Last day of this training. Then I am going to 3 shows this weekend. 2 of the shows are homies bands and the 3rd is a bigger name. I'm planning on hiking this weekend too. Going to be a busy weekend. No rest for the wicked.

Awesome scenery.
It feels like if it would've been darker, major Elden Ring vibes. 😆
It really was! I wanted to stick around till the evening but she got hungry (And was a bit tripped out by the wizards that'll be there..) :messenger_tears_of_joy:

The town had some crazy art too

Honestly though, the town is a trip. Proper stoned fat blokes dressed like Druids walking around with their guts out and 30+ women that went down the crazy Witch route rabbit hole..

I think I need to move there 🤔

Ladies, gentlemen..

I'm sitting here drinking, slightly drunk, watching YouTube and it hits me..

What.. the fuck happend?

The 80's. Best timeline for practically anything fun, but after checking out a few videos, what did actually happen to film scores?

I'm being serious, just check them out..

Did.. did we enter a weird void of spiritual death??

I honestly can't think of any good film OST's apart from maybe the original Jurassic Park or Lord of the Rings..

You don't like Hans Zimmer's work?
True, I'll give you that. I have been drinking. Interstellar, I have watched that docking scene a million times, utter perfection.

But these 80's films are so distinctive in their themes, I honestly don't get that anymore from, well, pretty much any film these days..

Ok this stock creaky door sound effect is driving me nuts in TV and .movies 😆

From a school locker to a jail cell door always that same sound.
I just heard it again on an episode of NYPD Blue... From 1993!

This has to be an inside joke like the Wilhelm scream 😁

Dune has a phenomenal soundtrack. A few weeks ago, I started reading the books and had the music playing in the background, it made the experience even better.

Tron: Legacy has one of the best soundtracks ever made IMO

A couple modern ones I like:

Arrival
La La Land
Blade Runner 2049
The Social Network
Mad Max: Fury Road

Yeah I've heard that so many times! There's a hawkish bird sound effect too I've heard now for years, upon years, from games, TV shows and films, and I just can't find it..

I'm rewatching the X Files and I swear it's used a hundred times in the first few seasons..

It's so distinctive but I'll be damned if I can find it :messenger_tears_of_joy:

It's used in everything I swear.

I have to add..

This scene, whether it was intended, or not, perfectly enraptured the absolute difference between men and women.

There is an actual thesis you could write on this one scene alone on why it's a man's duty to protect women and why it has always been that way, and why its written into our very DNA..

I just wonder if anyone else can actually spot it 🤔

What's there to spot?
Well..

Just as a basic, as I'm drunk..

Just one thing, The moment Cooper speeds up to dock, she asks 'What are you doing'?. This implied she didn't even have the thought of how they would get out of the very situation they were in..

Her first thought, and one that she was lingering on was that he died..

If you've ever been with a girl or woman in a dangerous situation, they don't always think of the most basic facts first. They will think emotionally..

As I said, it's thesis material :messenger_tears_of_joy:
