FRIDAY NIGHT [OT2] - Official NeoGAF Weekend Kickoff REDUX

Oh ffs,

Peggies Peggies where are you from? I thought you was American, sorry about that. Not that being American is bad either :messenger_tears_of_joy:

She is Irish.

I could have sworn she was from Belgium.
So this is what you do when I'm in bed?
You guys are killing me 🤣.

Maiden Voyage Maiden Voyage did you find something fun to do yesterday? Besides the obvious I mean 😉
I didn't do much of note but I did get some time in with my chickens for the first time in a week or so. I read a bit more in The Razor's Edge. It's been such a wild experience to read this novel again after so long. I see the parts of younger me that the book resonated with. And now, other parts have me raptured. The passage below, for example strikes me as one of the most beautiful I've ever read. The person talking is relaying to the author of how he decided to go work in a coal mine after he and his fiancé broke off the engagement. He partners up with the massive polish guy who is smart as hell and loves cheating at gambling. Anyway, they drink and gamble and whilst drinking the pole will say deep stuff.

This morning I'm listening to some jazz and modern classical music while I read, drink my coffee, and enjoy a pastry. There's an art festival today that I'll attend and then go for a hike once the temperature picks up. I can't begin to tell you how rejuvenating the combination of music and reading is. My mental health improves so much when I take moments like this.

You sound good. You sound like you again.

So the art thing was about 90% of what I expected. Old lady shit. IE mass-produced junk. I found a few tents with good stuff and managed to pick up a little mushroom statue thing for my apartment.

Clutch maybe. You don't have a bicycle do you? Asking for a friend.

No I don't have a bike. I live in the city. I don't see the point of having a bike unless you're a girl with pigtails or a little boy with scrapped knees.
Fucking hippies with their fucking bikes are a nuisance for me as a pedestrian as well as a driver.

My friend will be disappointed by your bicycle bigotry.

I like how it seems that guy is contemplating going or not lmfao

I'm sure he's probably just waiting for someone but the body language combined with that thought is all too familiar.
"Look at me just casually waiting and deciding. Do I have to pee or not? Ah what the hell, live a little. Let's go, Arnold!"

Watched Rushmore for the first time since it came out. I love Wes Anderson movies. The Vietnam play scene is amazing. Stellar flick.

Sunday mornings at the playground might be the most depressing thing there is.
I love it, lol.

All these dads with their soulless eyes, crashed hopes and dreams, shattered spirits. I believe it's only the dads because sunday is the day where mums can stay home and do some cleaning and crying.

Fantastic :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Damnit. I went to my favorite bakery because they were supposed to be open but they weren't and I have to show for it is this overly expensive dirty chai latte.

Oh well, I'm making a seafood miso soup for lunch this week and who needs stupid, delicious bread to go with it.

I'm sorry that happened to you. You deserve good bread.

Nevertheless...
Chai latte? Really?
