I think the point is that they are similar games, but Dragon's Crown beats out the older feeling Golden Axe.

Indeed. I am a bit optimistic since Prime and the Donkey Kong games were so great. But their work on the Prime series is increasingly downhill for me unfortunately.

It was more I was sad you feel that way than that I agree haha. Like the most I can say is I thought it was a mistake to add cut-scenes in 3 and I didn't appreciate them separating boss rooms from the map but 2 is close to as good as 1 while being different enough to be it's own thing and 3 I legit loved despite the flaws.
