Capcom rep, Mr. Daro Wakenai, says that the “next MH will welcome in new fans from around the world with its rich visual presentation”

This is consistent with some of their earlier statements that they're interested in expanding the audience for the game in foreign markets.

At this point, I'm fully convinced that it will be multiplatform with PS4 and Switch.

They no longer have the excuse of weak hardware holding back production either. Will be interesting to see if the next main MH matches what Tencent is doing with Monster Hunter Online. Certainly doable if they're targeting PS4/XB1, but if Capcom is sticking with Nintendo we'll probably get something in between.
