Game Room Pack 012 Includes Sunset Riders, Twinbee, Blades Of Steel, Pitfall 2 + MORE

We do have a Game Room and XBLA topic, but I thought this update might be best shown a a new topic.

After numerous months with some pretty shoddy games, Microsoft's Game Room is getting a HUGE, awesome update with Pack 012.

Now what happens with Game Room is once a pack is released only a few of the games are available, and each week the rest game "released". Today's update included:

Arcade: Blades Of Steel, (Arcade version of the popular NES game) Trick Trap,

Atari 2600: Pitfall II ("best Atari 2600 Game ever" says Retrogamer Magazine)

Intellivision: Vectron

But people have looked into the pack and found what the other games are, which includes:

Arcade

Amidar
Detana Twinbee
Food Fight
MIA: Missing in Action
(aka Rush'n Attack 2)
Pooyan
Sunset Riders (4-Player Beat'em up Cowboys)
Twinbee (Big shooter in Japan)

Atari 2600

Off The Wall
Thwocker
Warlords

Intellivision

Volleyball

Which is huge! Finally some great games, even if Krome is basically all but dead. Such a shame that they waited this long for these games to get released.

You can download Pack 012 here. Get hyped!

Actually it seems with the latest update the cross platform gameplay is now completely automatic -- no more 400MSP cost, everything is 240MSP.
oh wow that is awesome, time to buy some classics then.

Just quickly - is this service on WP7 or landing there. I would probably pay for 'some' games if it was a 3 way PC>360>Omnia7.

Wow it's a slog to download game room again along with 12 game packs, they really needed a better way of game management as I bet a lot of people don't download all the packs.

Twinbee is awesome also if you like shooters, buy it.

That's something they ALSO added in this latest update. I think there's some way to download multiple packs at a time. At least it was some weird tick-box method for downloading stuff.

Holy crap, Sunset Riders AND Twinbee?

I may actually have to download Game Room for this. I look forward to the Giant Bomb QL where Jeff breaks down in tears upon seeing two top quality titles on Game Room.

It would be the arcade one, and your mind will be blown because it's WAY better than the Genesis version. Different levels, better graphics, four player simultanous player, all around outstanding game.

They should just rename this thing to Konami Game Room until they get another company on board.

The 2600/INTV releases are (mostly) useless.

Wow am I out of the loop. This is the first time I've looked into these game room packs and my interest in a 360 has certainly perked. While the retail games haven't really grabbed my attention, an easy and legal way to play some old arcade games have. Funny that.

The catch is you still have to pay for the games after you download the pack.

I'd happily pay another 2.5-7.5 bucks for sunset riders with online Co-op, but this is pretty awesome. Still not sure if I'll buy it though.

Seriously?

About damn time.

Still hate the fact that they didn't optimise the PC client and it still has to use this "game pack" BS when there's absolutely no need for it on PC.

yeah I bought astrosmash (i think the 3rd game I ever played, behind Carnival, and Dungeons and Dragons) and I pretty much never loaded up game room again.
