Games that made you go "Nope" in less than a minute

OP getting a bunch of shit, but to go back on track, my vote is Fallout New Vegas. I always thought Bethesda games were terrible, but it was a different developer with a different story, and people kept saying it was so good. Loaded up the tutorial, found the same Bethesda jank and gameplay issues that I always had with them. Then, when I was going through the tutorial and hunting with the girl and her wolf, the wolf jumps in front of me right as I shoot, so I become hostile to them. They chase me and kill me, and I respawn in a completely different area with no indicators or quests. Different developer, same Bethesda crap. Turned it off after that

I'm just surprised that in this day and age, people still go into games without the slightest clue if it is a game they'd enjoy (or at least be willing to give a chance).

I think PS+ etc is a common source of this due to supplying games that people don't choose.

I love PS+ for giving me random games that I might have looked at screenshots and gone 'I'm not paying a tenner for that'. Sometimes I delete them after less than an hour (Proteus, Metrico, Woah Dave, Super Exploding Zoo, Futuridium). Sometimes I end up having discovered something awesome that gives me hours of play that I would never have taken a chance on (Race the Sun, Guacamelee, Muramasa, Pix the Cat, Rogue Legacy, Killzone, The Swapper, Velocity).

While it would be great if we all got major games in our absolute favourite genres for three quid a month or whatever, I like that PS+ stops me from just dwelling in my rpg/strategy game comfort zone. It's actually widened my taste in games a bit.

How timely, was thinking about how fast I dropped the last couple months of ps plus games just the other day. Most I uninstalled after playing a couple levels. Some lasted less than 10 minutes. Really hope the ps plus offerings improve. All the good stuff lately I've already bought months before.

Olli olli 2
Futuridium deluxe
Race the sun
Hohokum
Skulls of the shogun
Spelunky
Sportsfriends (didn't make it past "mp only")
Super exploding zoo
Surgeon simulator (worst $4 ever)
Towerfall ascension
Velocity 2x

ollie skateboard game
Guacomolee (some luchador game)

Bayonetta 2.

Dragon's Crown. Fuck that art. Send it to the depths of hell where it belongs.

my vote is Fallout New Vegas.

A minute would be an exaggeration but I think PS+ freebie Race the Sun is the fastest a game has gone from installed to deleted for me.

fuck sake OP less than a minute is not enough time to judge Guacamelee.

I gave it half an hour then went nope.
I never deleted it but I'll never go back to it.

I can't think of any I dropped that quick. Plenty I picked up and played for 15 minutes before never getting back to them though. Spelunky was one of those.

I try to give all games a chance but Ico was that game for me. I want to try it again, but I hated what I played. Proteus is a game that caused me to have a deep hatred for indie games for a while. That was a total of 11 minutes though lol.

Wait, what's OP's vendetta against luchadores?

Statistically, any video game with a luchador in it is 78% more likely to be amazing.

Less than a minute ? That's not much. But I think I've played something like 5 minutes of Volgarr the Viking. After realizing I was still on the second panel after that time, I just gave up. "I'm too old for that shit".
There's that pool game that was on Games with Gold the past few months, after playing a single game I concluded that the controls weren't precise enough, while the AI was too unforgiving to make it enjoyable.

Less than a minute is a hell of a short time to make a judgement about the rest of the game on. An hour, maybe that would work better, but I've never started a game and then immediately shut it down.

Did OP even get passed the title screen of these games?

I know if a game it's worth my time I guess.

You don't, no. You can have whatever opinion you want about games but one minute is not enough to claim what you are claiming and you also picked perfect examples to prove yourself wrong.

What are you on, op?

I'd have to say my most recent is Massive Chalice...just not into those kind of games...but it was free so hey.

Got a PS4 and PS+ for a while now
PS+ gives you games for free, but I play them for less than a minute before deleting them
sometimes.

ollie skateboard game
Guacomolee (some luchador game)

I know if a game it's worth my time I guess.

How about you, ever played a game in less than a few minutes or seconds
what's you record before going "Nope"?

My record had to be ollie skateboard game ( I am not even sure if it's the real name of that game)
as soon as this tutorial came up and failed the first action, I was like "Nope" bye.

Are you high? Those are both great games.

Recently Project Root was a terrible buy for me. Zero personality, weak pew pew guns, just lifeless and boring. Lasted maybe 10 minutes.

Apotheon. Free PS+ PS4 game. Played for a whole 5 minutes and deleted it. Then über deleted it when I found out it was eating 500Mb from my cloud save.

Also seriously OP? Guacamelee is goddamn awesome.

OP gave me a stroke.

On topic: Hohokum. Thought it was going to be like Flower. It... kind of disappointed.
See also: Pretty much every MOBA.

Dude, you can't do anything in a game anymore in a minute. If I judged my games by the first minute, I'd quit al off them.

Batman: AK - ugh this is all first person and I'm just a cop? I quit.

Shadow of the Colussus - Ugh no enemies? Boring! /quit

Half-Life - yawn, I don't do anything. /quit

Yeah, maybe you just need to go back to NES days.
