Games that made you go "Nope" in less than a minute

Wet.

Hated the combat system from about the moment I got into it. Stuck with it through the majority of the tutorial. Stopped playing and returned it.

Thw Witcher 1 -> long shit cutscene followed by the worst combat i've ever experienced. (well more than a minute till nope)

I did for Batman Arkham Asylum. Tried the demo and was confused about the combat, etc. A few years after, I borrowed the GOTY from a friend to try out the make plastic 3D glasses. The game mechanics suddenly clicked and now consider it one of the best games of that generation. I finished City and Origins. I don't have the means to play Knight yet but eventually will.

Kings Field IV. Was always getting killed by the first enemy in the game so I gave it up.

Wonder if I should give it another go now that I am a fan of the Souls series

Super Time Force. It wasn't less than a minute though. Maybe a half hour or so. I just couldn't get into the time mechanic. Plus, it was frustrating the heck out of me so I uninstalled it quickly. Thank goodness it was GWG too.

OP, you should improve your patience by a lot and judge a game after a little bit more than just 1 minute.

Guacamelee and OlliOlli 2 are 2 of the best games on PSN period. You should cry out of joy for being able to play them for free.

Most MMOs.

Log in - make a character - walk around - See the same old stuff in a different sort of way - "Yup it's an MMO" - Log out

What was that game with the horrible graphics and you play a little baby? Ya that lasted all of a minute on my system.

Was going to say Mugen Souls, but I still played a tiny bit more before being done with it but bruh? guacamelee and Olliolli? Bruh, granted I wasn't a fan of the Olliolli controls because Tony Hawks initially but... dude!

Are we supposed to list games that are really awesome but didn't give a proper chance to?

I am surprised nobody did the typical troll thing of saying Uncharted 2 or Super Mario Galaxy without any explanation yet.

There was this game on PS+ called Tower of Guns (I think) that I played for less than 15 minutes and immediately deleted afterwards. It ran at like 15 FPS, with a lot of screen tearing and glitches, which made no sense because it looked and played like crap.

Probably the worst game I've ever played.

I finished Guacamelee and I still think the OP made the right choice. That game is mediocre. I did like some of the mechanics/jumping puzzles, but I hated the art-style.

The game that made me wish I'd said 'nope' within a minute was Assassin's Creed IV. Unfortunately, I stuck it out. It has, however, made me immediately dismiss any and all future AC games within the minute that they get announced.

TBH I had the same experience, but pushed myself a little bit to unlock new/better weapons and the game was not that bad.

Silent Hill 3. Let me explain.

12 year old me sees the games great reception online and decide it's time to go into horror. I go with my mom to buy the game and pop it in first thing when I get home. Starts off in the park with that fucked up bunny and I begin roaming but the disturbing atmosphere is getting to me.....Then I go into the next room and I'm attacked by decomposing monster dogs.

Mom brings me back next day to return it.

My next horror game was Outlast

OP, you need to post this in the "games you've quit on the past month" thread and put yourself in the running for Quitter of the Month. I can't imagine anyone topping the guy who quit on a Metal Gear:Ground Zeroes (!!!), but this would be close.

Spelunky
Velocity 2x
Go back and play these two. You quitter.
Damn y'all. Just because you got it for free doesn't mean you shouldn't give it a fair shake. I gave Super Exploding Zoo at least 15 minutes. Nier got a few hours than it should have because GAF is a devilish trickster. OP, your decisions are bad and you should feel bad. Go back this instant. Get past the first stages. Damn.

Rust. Friend kept urging me to buy it to play with him but I've never really cared for that walking simulator/survival genre.

Started off beating on trees with a rock to gather lumber and knew I'd be deleting the game soon

I'm with you op

Ocarina of time (I walk around some shitty village and can't go anywhere. the hell? turned it off)

Majora's mask (I'm not even a kid, I'm a piece of wood now? traded it in)

Earthbound (Game is too slow, can't see my characters while performing attacks. noped after thirty seconds)

Dude, you can't do anything in a game anymore in a minute. If I judged my games by the first minute, I'd quit al off them.

Batman: AK - ugh this is all first person and I'm just a cop? I quit.

Shadow of the Colussus - Ugh no enemies? Boring! /quit

Half-Life - yawn, I don't do anything. /quit

Yeah, maybe you just need to go back to NES days.

Oh, so The Last of Us is just some shit about a kid sitting in the back of a car riding round town with dad? So much for 'the Citizen Kane of gaming'.

I've never been able to judge a game based on a minute of gameplay.

If people could be more like you

I hate any phone game that starts with a long loud video that can't be skipped.

Let me go into options before anything happens and turn off the sound in your game please. I don't like shit blasting out of my phone when I'm in public, its rude.

I agree with OP. Played about 10 seconds of each indie trash game, deleted. All of you are just angry that he doesn't like what you like. Get over it, I'm with OP

Dead Space 3. Downloaded it free on PS+ but just could not be arsed with it. Lasted 5 minutes, at most.

It's one of the problems with free games, I think - there's no incentive to weather the storm if the opening isn't engaging for whatever reason.
