Can I get a new DESCENT game? Anybody, anybody?

Freedom Fighters is pretty much my favorite TPS of all time, and it holds up perfectly fine - agreed with the dude above who said it needs a sequel/franchise revival instead.

I had some hopes for Kane & Lynch, and even stuff like The Bureau in terms of being strategic team-based single player shooters...but no such luck, as none approach the deft level design or satisfying, deep-yet-approachable combat of FF.

Perfect pick, really, as it's not merely outdated like so many of these mentions, it was flawed from the start. I like to think it probably should have just been an adventure game wherein you solve your psychological mystery with the help of your trusty dog, or perhaps something like the original Clock Tower by forcing you to run from enemies rather than beat them up with crappy combat controls.
Descent in HD could be great!

The original Rollercoaster Tycoon. Keep it 2D and isometric but redo the sprites. Also, make it so the game runs in HD resolution.

Grim Fandango in glorious HD with silky smooth gamepad controls please.

Also a proper Silent Hill HD would be nice.

I'd normally say Elite but fingers crossed we're actually going to get a good remake of that.

The Halo fanbase is dwindling, reverting, and will die without rebuilding the fanbase, especially if Halo 5 flops.

Right now, halo 3 is reaching just as high numbers as Halo 4 at certain times, which is a dire state of affairs. However, as okay a game that halo 3 was, many people complained about a lot of the mechanics, however now a days its a gold plated turd compared to the standards of today's Halo. In fact, unanimously the Halo 3 beta (for those who played it) is considered the best build of halo ever. But that's for another time.

You have to ask why Halo 3 is flourishing right now like it is. It's because fans want Halo to be Halo. The mechanics have changed, forcing everything else to change with them (like the maps, ugh..) but as the online numbers show, it's not what works for Halo. We were hyped before release, we wanted to give it a chance but the more we played the more we realise, it isn't Halo.

Halo's biggest problem, and one of it's strongest attributes is the diversification of the fanbase. However with recent releases it seems apparent that particular groups of fans were being shortchanged.

Remake Halo 2 in hd, but change nothing else, release all the maps and make it post patch (please no 6 beatdowns for a kill). Halo 2 was what built the foundations for xbox live, and has the most to offer with some of the best maps that weren't rebuilt in janky, geometric, ugly one colour blocky forge rebuilds.

Releasing H2 will bring back a lot of people who have left, and will also help rebuild the franchise.

Metal Gear 1 and 2 easily.
Those MSX games hold up but just barely.
The biggest issue is they're canon to the Solid series but the age of them kind of ruins what they're trying to accomplish. Thus why really the only thing you ever find out about them in the later games is what was written in the file like in MGS1.

If Kojima remade those 2 and said here's the whole series now. I wouldn't care if he retired from MGS at that point.

the only thing this game needs is completely overhauled graphics, leave the rest as it is because it's brilliance

Whenever a game uses "middleware," I expect mediocrity. Just see how poor TLOU looks.
Majora's Mask needs a remake STAT. On the 3DS, and it wouldn't even be that much work because Grezzo already has the assets and engine from OoT 3D. All these Majora teasers from Nintendo lately have to mean SOMETHING right????? I even got a Majora CD from Club Nintendo 3 days ago, no reason to do that but to keep MM fresh in people's minds????

I'm so with you! Even better would be a new game in the series, instead of a remake.

My friends and I played so much of this on PS2 (along with similiar games like the X-men Legends games). Marvel Ultimate Alliance kind of took over for those, but weren't the same as being able to smash your way through a level in XL1.

And now we have Marvel Heroes... but I'd like to see a remake of X-men Legends!!

Just about everything from the PS1 and N64 era. Some brilliant games there seriously held back by tech limitations that are nigh unplayable now.

System Shock 2. Everyone raves about it but every time I try to play it I just can't take it seriously.

I would love for this to get remade with the same perspective, the same classical music, and basically everything else the same. Just cleaned up, higher res graphics; online play; Ability to create and share maps. Perhaps some kind of ranking system and more team and competitive modes, but have the heart of the game remain the same.

I was going to say some other more obvious things. Like Chrono Cross. Love that game, but looks like absolute ass on my Vita. Can be hard to tell what you're doing / where you're supposed to go on a few of the locations and the framerate is junk. Just clean that one up, add some challenge content/bonus dungeons that better utilizes the characters and field effects, and you pretty much have a perfect game IMO.

100% agree. But being that the developer is 2nd party Nintendo, it's not coming out anywhere else. DOA. Sucks in a major way, because the title is pure joy on so many levels. My son and I still quote cheesy crap out of the Ed Wood-esque script to this day.

VtM:Bloodlines
I don't actually want it to be remade in the normal sense of the word(new engine etc)i just want a Director's Cut of sorts with all the content that was supposed to be there.
For example Troika actually wanted the game to have unique gameplay for all the clans in vanilla Malkavian,Nosferatu and the remaining 4 clans offers 3 unique gameplay walkthroughs but according early previews and interviews original plan was to have all of them offer unique walkthroughs, such as Gangrel player seeing trees&jungles instead of buildings in the game.
4 clans still warrants replay due to the dialogue changes and npc perspectives but thinking of what could've been almost physically pains me.
Also thanks to the Rik Schaffer we know some story elements were cut,he composed music for those scenarios but by all means they were cut early on from the game due to the budget&time constraints otherwise Wesp would've found them by now.
One of these days i'm going to open an account at Iron Tower's forums and bombard Brian Mitsoda with questions about wtf was actually cut story wise.

I know this will never happen due to the game bombing and WWP moving away from the Masquerade era and Bloodlines is still the greatest game of all time as it is but i still want to know what was their original plans and just how big was their scope at the earliest phases.
What i wouldn't do to get my hands on the original design documents.
