Two things.

1. Platinum Games developing it should be a good thing. Both Vanquish and Bayonetta were smooth as butter. So why does this look like shit? Did they just dump it off to them and trying to salvage a bomb or something else?

2. This reminds me of Afro Samurai, which wasn't entirely terribly, but its gameplay wasn't particularly amazing.

Looks like mindless fun I'm definitely gonna play it but it does make me wonder why the hell snake had to get off his old ass to save the world when Raiden was running around like fucking Superman
Throwing RAYS and cutting them in half.

Jeesus, by the amount of people who weren't expecting something completely over the top, where the fuck were you for Bayonetta and Vanquish? Those games were the embodiment of over-the-top cheese.

Don't like: This isn't really MGS. This is cheesy PG stuff, and I'm not a fan of it making its way to MGS. Wrong property to do this with, in my view.

I really don't know what to think about this.

Don't know how to feel.... Not a big fan of Platinum's games. I know they're good I just prefer the stealth gameplay of metal gear. I also really enjoy the universe of metal gear so it will be a question of whether I care enough to play through a game like this.

Thought everything looked pretty much terrible at first (both in terms of graphics and gameplay), but then I saw the Platinum logo. HOLY SHIT!!!! Hype through the roof!
Yes, I'm exactly that shallow :p

Hardly. The action looks great and knowing Plat it will be extremely fun. The story looks like stupid over the top fun, which is better then anything MGS has done after 3. They forgot the fun and just brought the stupid for 4 and PW.

WTF was that? why is this called Metal Gear Solid? This is just making a mockery of the series, which I kind of could take it seriously in the previous games (somewhat) but now all this is just ridiculous.

"It looks like one of my Japanese animes!" quote comes to mind. We have come a long way from Shadow Mosses people and as somebody said on youtube; this is Bayonetta Gear Solid.

The trailer is kind of cool however, and I would be more open to it if it didn't have the MGS name attached. I like the logo.

As soon as it said "Revenge with a Vengeance" I said, out loud, "REVENGEANCE!"

And then it popped up onscreen and made me laugh.



I don't know what people are complaining about. Some of the animations look a little jerky, yeah, but this is still just the first trailer. Otherwise looks pretty awesome. I had absolutely zero hype for this before, now I can't wait. Trailer successful.
