I think the world needs to begin decentralizing manufacturing immediately, and not just because of China. When a worldly crisis occurs it makes everyone dead in the water if something happens to a major region of the planet. Then there is the environmental strain of having all manufacturing central to one area. There are far more reasons to do this.

And you are 100% right. This is not an issue that is fixed from consumers trying to purchase the right things. It has gone well beyond that and organized governance is the only way to enact the changes we need to decentralize manufacturing. We should all want a local, diverse, and robust economy.

No...fuck the CCP and its supporters. But, there are many Chinese people who don't support it (can't come out and say that tho for obvious reasons), and as a country it has a rich history and interesting culture when you avoid the socialist, communist political BS.

Amen to this as well. Don't worry, most people are never frustrated with the citizens of a country. There are sane and wonderful people everywhere; we're just all stuck together in a bus driven by freaks. When most of us mock the CCP we do so at the behest of suppressed citizens everywhere. I have Chinese friends and wouldn't hesitate to have them as neighbors or countrymen.
