I know but there are so many switch games I want to play too.Get the X! I bought a Gamecube back in the day and outside of a few games, it mainly collected dust.
Mmmh..why don't wait the Scarlet? Is Just One more year and you can save Money for now and After decide xbox or graphic cardI've been thinking about upgrading my gaming PC lately, but the prices of RTX cards (and all the other components) are holding me back. I do however want to play Doom Eternal and other great upcoming games in the best way possible, and I don't think my old i5 4670 and GTX 970 are up to par anymore. Especially considering me using a 1440p monitor (G-sync, so I have to stick with Nvidia cards) and I would like to push details to at least "high".
I was then thinking about getting an Xbox One X instead, for the time being, and upgrade the PC later when Ryzen 3 series and Nvidia "Super" is out (hopefully with an RTX price cut). I have the old original One, 80's VCR Edition, but it's only being used as a Blu-ray player for the kids right now, and I don't feel as though it's good enough for my 4K TV.
What is your take on the One X? Did you experience a noticeable difference coming from One/One S? And do you feel it's a good alternative to a gaming rig, or are there just too many games that still run at 30 fps? I read a lot of different opinions on this, and would like to hear GAF's take on the matter.
Happy with the X?

If the X struggle with the cpu/GPU the S or the og Is worse
I play only on console so i have the x from day One...but this gen Is coming to end...
I already have a PS4 Pro fully loaded with great games, but I refuse to use it since it's louder than a nuke. It's impossible to enjoy playing on that thing.
Use headphones?

They're selling them brand new on ebay for 315 right now. But like you said I think it would be better to wait. The Short is yes, I'm happy with my X.
I think right now it might be better to wait though because in about a year and a half we'll have new systems. If you can get the X for 400 or less, I'd say go for it. I would not buy the X full price right now unless it came bundled with some great games and gave some gamepass trials or something.
Alternative is to put that 4-500 bucks aside and delay your gratification and put that towards a next gen system. I know that may not sound like much of an option, but that's how I look at things. I bought an X on day one, knowing I'd get 2 to 3 solid years out of it, and even trade it in toward the next gen console.
I know its kinda wishy washy but I hope this helps.
Why wait, if you have the funds go for it you might not even be alive next year
You'd have to be insane to spend up to $500 on a current gen console and then watch everyone next year getting a next gen one while you're stuck with State of Decay 2 expansions.
Prior to gamepass getting a significant push I would have agreed, I felt pretty guilty for buying the X essentially for rdr2. After finishing (and loving rdr2) I went back to pc taking most of my gaming time.Absolutely worth if you are not a PC gamer.
