GoNintendo: Xenoblade 2 pushed to 2018, February; Mario in November

So, GoNintendo claims they have an inside info from Gamestop. Supposedly, Super Mario Odyssey release date is November 17 and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will be released in February 2018.

Even though we all expected Xenoblade to be 2018, I would be quite happy if it is indeed a February release.

I guess we will know for sure in a few days.

Whats tht quote we always post when a game get delayed that miyamoto said..? Oh yeah..

If a game gets delayed once, it can be delayed again.
A game that gets released, never gets delayed.

Not surprising, but man I was hoping Xenoblade would drop this year. At least we still have an amazing looking Mario this November.

If this is true then both expected and makes perfect sense. If this year has taught us anything it's that Q1 is perfect for games like Xenoblade 2. January or February is about what I was thinking if it got bumped.

Plus in December it might get crowded out by Zelda + DLC, the Skyrim port and Dragon Quest XI (if Switch version makes Japan this year).

If it's February that's about a 2 month delay from what I expected. Not bad...but They better hope RDR2 isn't till April or something

Makes a lot of sense for Xenoblade 2 to avoid the packed holiday season and recieve a bit more time in development. Especially with the Switch supply constrained.

Xenoblade 2 and RDR2 are the two games I figured would get delayed.

Hopefully they have enough time to the frame rate and the MC's design.

Both completely fine. November is a good date for Mario and I was completely not expecting them to somehow get Xeno 2 localized this year. February is still pretty damn quick for that kind of game so still happy.

I'm sure we have someone from GS around here who could double check that. Not surprising though, but the Switch lineup sure is light with xeno getting pushed

So we will get a 2018 game at E3!

This delay isn't too bad. A lot is coming out around November. Releasing in February should give it a better chance to succeed.

Did they list the game for 2017 in the west?

Either way, what gamestop may have told gonintendo means nothing for XB2 release date in Japan. A push to early 2018 (if anything, for the translation) was expected, and february sounds very good actually.

Neither of those things surprise me (though I suppose the delay isn't that bad for Xenoblade 2), but I guess we'll get confirmation in due time. That said, I'm curious to see if Xenoblade 2 makes it out before the end of the year in Japan.

Didn't the last insider Gamestop leaks turn out to be false?

Then again, I was expecting Mario in November and Xeno late December or pushed back till next year. Although Feb is way earlier then expected

Either way, what gamestop may have told gonintendo doesn't affect XB2 release date in Japan. A push to early 2018 (if anything, for the translation) was expected.

Pretty sure they did.

Don't underestimate the power of Q1! This year had a crazy Q1 full of million sellers. I don't know how Zelda even managed to fit in, but it did.

I wouldn't be surprised about XB2 but a 2 month delay is also not because it's 'too soon.' People don't seem to realize that's almost 3 years since XBX release (even in December). Either December or February seems reasonable. I just hope it's everything they want when released.

That's still not in 'I knew they couldn't do it that fast' territory for the non believers.
