Video with renders and concept arts from the setting. Cool

I hope to see it in a near future for Move or Kinetic...
Looks very good.

Why a Kinect/Move game? It looks fucking awesome on it's own!

I dunno, but it seems like a rail-shooter, so I believe it would fit well for Move/Kinetic. And Wii of course...
My advice for UBI soft: cancel "I am alive" and give life to this project! :D

Looks like the best thing they've done in ages, other maybe than the leaked BG7E2 footage.

It saddens me this was probably cancelled for an Imagine title. Ubisoft are near the point of becoming completely irrelevant to me, outside of the Prince of Persia franchise.

Nice target render. This is the second Ubi trailer that has a character parcouring (First One) that uses steady cam. I hope they will someday make a game that utilizes this. Hopefully new IP!

The game shown here looks very much like Vanquish meets GitS.

If this is the reason, I don't mind it being canceled. :D Definitely interesting though. I think we need more of those futuristic megacity games.

Doesn't matter what you call it - it still remains CG.
Yes. It's CG. This is not in any way gameplay video and this is how it works. Target renders are created and presented to major companies by developers to show what the final game can do, similar to Killzone 2 or Motorstorm trailers shown at E3.

It's more like animated concept art than CG, but yeah it's pre-rendered alright, but it's what they would have strived to make the game look like.

We call that "Fake Game Footage" or FGF. Often, it's to give the development team something to pitch to the suits when they begin their development. Also, it's often at that time that the game is canceled.

Maybe they had a hard time putting the game ideas into a real work.

The Potential looked great from the video.

Those robots "dying" remind me of something...can't remember what!

ERMYGERD!
Concept looks awesome, but it'll be nigh impossible to translate it to a videogame that's fun. Sell the concept to Hollywood, let Michael Bay work with it.

Umm, isn't this the very opposite of steady cam?

Funny thing is, everyone will now associate that kind of camera with stuff like Kane & Lynch 2, because it's the first game they played that used it.

That's obviously a target render and how do we know if it was canceled? This project might have never been more than this render.

GAME PROJECT NEXT-GEN
Project abandonned
Period : 6 month
Plateform : Playstation 3
Levels : I worked on all the levels of the game in collaboration with another environment artist.

We were two environment artists 3D on this project. We were in collaboration with several concept artists 2D. We had made the whole environment of this level which would serve at the test level for the achievement of a fgf. We were in charge on a modeling, texturing and lighting level. The project was to be a "third person shooter" in next-gen for the PS3. The action takes place in London realistic from 2032 when cohabiting humans and machines. We chose represented Trafalgar Square and its surroundings for the fgf.

I'm afraid that target renders like this will make next-gen a bit disappointing for me. I just get used to this stuff, only to come to the conclusion that next-gen games might just reach this level of graphical fidelity and gameplay.

Yeah I know. I believed the Motorstorm one was real when it was shown. I'm still salty about them :(

I wasn't even disappointed with the graphics of the game but with the fact that the series moved further and further away from the gameplay concept.

looks awesome for concept, setting and especially thanks to animation, which however is something not quite feasible ingame yet (or maybe ever, since a game has to be responsive and cannot foresee the player's movements to show the choose the best transition animation)

The animation and rendered image quality make this look really immersive and exciting; it's a shame its been cancelled as I feel there was definete potential for interesting game in the vein of Vanquish as others have already said.

didn't look very interesting, but sad to see it cancelled because there aren't enough games set in London.

If anyone had any materials from this game (concepts, targets, renders, sketches, drawings, tests), please don't hesitate to contact me! This game looks stunning!!!

Hail, peons, for I have come as ambassador from the great and bountiful Blueberry Butt Explosion
Wait, was it Gorilla Nation, or Guerrilla Nation? Because I don't see any gorillas in this game.

Why do you think it's a rail shooter? You can see radar with the location of different enemies on the screen which suggests free movement.
