Tokyo Game Show 07 Feature — (available on the US PlayStation Store)

“Gran Turismo 5 Prologue” Concept Movie (Type C) — (1080p version is now available on the PlayStation Store)

The new trailer for it will be debuting tonight during the Spike TV awards so we might find out the other courses then.

Amazing, Simply amazing.

Any UK guys know where i can buy jpn points online, cheapest and if they will email me the code or not?

And the last two tracks in Prologue. After our conversation, we have good reason to believe that the two remaining tracks in Prologue may be Laguna Seca, Infineon or Nordschliefe. We didn't get a solid answer, but any of those tracks are solid.
I'm all Lagunad/Nordschliefed out and quite happy for those tracks to take a break from racing games for a couple of years. Fingers crossed for London Circuit and La Sarthe.

Official site says, PSN 4,500円, Blu-ray 4,980円

Japanese PSN tickets are available from PA (they ship the code to you) and NCSX (they send an email with code)

Considering a large amount will be from import orders, it might not be so farfetched. :p

couldn't find them on the ncsx store, and playasia won't ship to the EU

I bought some off ebay, cost me £68 for 2x5000 yen tickets. Codes were emailed very fast (next morning in Japan which is where the guy was).

From the other thread for those that didn't see it.

Playing GT5 feels like putting on your best suit and going for a no-expense-spared meal at The Ritz. It’s elite. It’s the uppermost class of racing game ever. And we’re not just talking about the stunning graphics or super-satisfying handling of the cars. Even the menu screens have a sheen - that extra touch of class - that forces home the fact that this is no budget project by some random garage developer. This is a proud team’s work of art. Note that the chilled, jazz-style music that backs the menus sounds like the kind of tracks you’d probably expect to hear playing quietly in the background in a five-star hotel lobby.

What makes it even more astonishing is that you get this solid-as-a-rock framerate without the loss of detail that most other games endure when they want to hit the 60fps mark. The cars look incredible. Picture perfect, even. All the detail is there, right down to the lines in the plastic covering the headlights. There are 16 of these high-poly bad boys on the course at once, but the framerate remains unshaken.

Proper race geeks will be pleased with the new in-cockpit view in GT5, too. It places you right in the driver’s seat, and the cockpit detail is, again, perfect to the real thing. All the buttons and dials of the real car are there, and all the dials are fully operational. You can see the driver steering and changing gear, and even leaning side to side slightly as you power into corners.

Awesome thread, awesome game.

Once again, I have to give it up for the Japanese. What they are doing is simply amazing.

Not a day one purchase for me though.

Yoshichan

And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?
When this is out, I demand pics like no tomorrow.

You got that?

It'll get delayed, it always gets delayed.

March would be nice.

It has been delayed :lol it should have been out in December (when the japanese version was supposed to hit in October). BTW it's only the localization, it shouldn't take a lot, it's a small game.

Looking forward to this.

My only comment on the graphics is that I hope they improve the LOD for the other cars - was a little obvious in the demo

With Yodobashi's 13% points back deal, this should only cost me around Y4000. Still a lot, but the graphics are too amazing not to stare at and show off every now and then.

Gotta have Laguna Seca. The Corkscrew. The followthrough down the Rahal Straight. The Andretti Hairpin. Awesome.

Would love to see London though.

I'm puzzled as to why Sony doesn't offer more of a discount for the download version. No retailer actually sells games at their official RRP, so you'd have no trouble getting a physical copy for Y4500 (even less, if you count Bic/yodobashi points). And of course, most people will want the BD version cos they can then sell it second hand - which in turn eats into official games sales.

It doesn't make any sense.
