Have to respect Polyphony Digital, the post-release support for GT Sport has been awesome. It was a little content light at launch, but they've really filled out the car and track roster (Spa pls) over the last 18 months or so.

There is nothing awesome about the support. The game was totally incomplete at launch. They should have launched the game with all this content and not with less. Else they should at least tell customers "well it is not complete right now, but you can pay full price for it and maybe we deliver something more in future for free" ... or just "Early Access". Such release politics (like with Anthem, No Man's Sky or Sea of Thiefs) should really not be tolerated by consumers.

It does depend on the track record I guess: they told customers “this is what we have at launch, we will keep adding stuff” and they are doing that so props to PD for delivering on this plan with quality content.

I want to agree and also disagree. But what you are saying is true. It was pretty bland at launch. It's great now

I just disagree. The game has had free and consistent updates since it came out in 2017. 30+ tracks/layouts and over 120 cars for free. No paid dlc. They've said they aren't stopping soon or holding back for the next title either.

People aren't babies, if you don't like the amount of content in a game, don't buy it. They didn't hide having less than a usual Gran Turismo in the game and review scores reflected it.

It was complete at launch imo.

All modes were complete from begin to end.

They just added more content every month to already existing modes... the only exception was the useless GT League mode added one month after release due request of the fans but it feels out of the game and it is basically a mode you won't play.

While it’s possible to criticise the amount of content GT Sport launched with (although I think some of this criticism stems from GT Sport taking a different approach to the numbered GT entries), I’m not sure it’s fair to compare it with games (NMS, Anthem) that launched in an arguably gameplay incomplete state.

GT Sport was a complete game at launch, ie its game modes existed and were functional within the scope of what the game was trying to deliver (an esport/simcade experience).
