Question: When upgrading from the Xbox 360 or PS3 version of GTAV to a PS4, Xbox One, or PC version, what changes will I see?

Answer: Grand Theft Auto V will take full advantage of the power of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC with across-the-board graphical and technical improvements to deliver a stunning new level of detail. Increased draw distances, finer texture details, denser traffic, and enhanced resolutions all work together to bring new life to the cities, towns, deserts and oceans of Rockstar North’s epic reimagining of Southern California.

All new content and gameplay created since the launch of Grand Theft Auto Online, including an extensive array of new Jobs, an arsenal of new weapons, scores of new vehicles, new properties and player customizations will also be available for the PlayStation 4 system, Xbox One and PC with much more to come. In addition, the current community of players will have the ability to transfer their Grand Theft Auto Online characters and progression to their choice of PlayStation 4, Xbox One or PC.

Grand Theft Auto V for PC will also feature a video editor designed for advanced movie-making.

In addition to the above features, you'll see:

A brand new first person mode for vehicles that shows the interior of the vehicle, including working speedometers, tachometers, dash lights, and more
A brand new first person mode while on foot

A wealth of new easter eggs and random events for Story Mode
New animals roaming Los Santos
Animals in GTA Online?
Players that transfer characters from Xbox 360 or PS3 will receive free new weapons and a free garage in GTA Online.
Newly overhauled character selection screen

I would love a first person view while on foot. Seeing videos of the mod on GTA IV, you could really appreciate smaller details.

Really hope this is true.

When the trailer was released at one point it shows the inside of the car and a working speedometer. They wouldnt add that detail in if it wasnt going to be seen.

I was about to say this. It was in the E3 trailer.

Yep, they confirmed the new interiors shortly after the E3 trailer dropped.

That would be cool.
II really like to drive around Los Santos, and doing it with a cockpit view would be really amazing!

Nice, really hyped for this.

Although, not really sure why there's such a focus on animals? It adds to the atmosphere of the game, but is anyone really excited about animals in online? It'd be nice if there was some gameplay attached to them, like training a mountain lion to follow you around.

...wait, this isn't just for GTA Online but for singleplayer too, right?

I really hope the on-foot 1st person mode is true. I'd love to experience that world from a 1st person perspective. Talk about immersion.

Yes, I am. I've been avoiding single player for a while (I have been saving tryign to finish it for the PS4 version). I went back to show my mom the game and remembered how much more fun it is with animals.

I'm not really sure how much I believe this rumor though (especially the first person part). Seems like that would be a lot of work to implement and too good to be true kind of thing. I'll be happy if it is true though.

The same could be claimed for their inclusion in single player, and the answer to that is it makes the world feel more real, alive. GTA Online could feel quite empty at times, so a higher player count + wildlife will help make exploring the world more exciting. On top of that it will bring a lot more emergent gameplay that was missing when you went online. RDR online hunting down bears and cougars in large groups was crazy fun.

Ya, good point, I could definitely see that being fun.

what I am curious about, is more information on the character transfer from 360/ps3...

1. does anyone know if you have the 360 version of GTAV, will it transfer to ps4 somehow if you get the ps4 version of gtaV?

2. Will the 360/PS3 character transfer to the PC version?

The online character is stored server side. It can be downloaded into any version.

I think the first trailer showed the instrument cluster w/ animating dials. I just hope it's more useful than Watch Dogs' in-dash view: Aiden couldn't move his head more than an inch in any direction.

Have a feeling the 1st person view will look and feel wonky as hell à la DayZ. Prove me wrong Rockstar.
