IIRC the OG Xbox version upscales pretty well anyway on a 360, so I'm not sure if it's worth coping with these new faults if you already own it.

No big deal on audio, surely? Put the older music files from iTunes or wherever in the SA folder and boom, old audio back?

Same with the Crazy Taxi PC port, yeah?

The current (soon to be previous version) has a custom radio station, so you can do it that way, but, if it is like vice city, you can use the original file that has all the music in, and just replace the new one. Can't remember the file extension name though

Hmm. Not sure I'm a fan of some of those textures changing and everything being so saturated... but I probably won't care when I play it

Some of the songs are missing I guess? Glad I still have this game and a PS2.

Voices cutting out in the cutscenes, which makes me cry, I missed the voice acting in the big scene where big smoke makes a ridiculously large order at cluckin bell.

(PS when you start to watch that cutscene, look at the entrance to the drive-thru, all the character models used in the scene are standing in one spot in the jesus-crucified-to-a-cross-pose)

but yeah, most cutscenes losing voices makes me not want to play and hope a patch gets released.

doesn't matter with a custom soundtrack station. I added the cut songs back to Vice City and added some era appropriate ones as well.

it even works like the other stations where it'll be mid song somewhere when you get into a car.

yikes @ the cut songs, some of those were what I listened to a lot, heck Radio Los Santos seems neutered.

Thus why it's nice to still have the PS2 version (or PS2 classic / Xbox classic). Custom soundtrack station also allow you to add missing songs if you which, so it's not that big of a deal imo. Biggest bummer is the seemingly lack of polish, so a patch wouldn't hurt.

Anyway, it doesn't bother me given the great price (I could easily double dip for a PS3 or even PS4 version if the price is just as good).

Damn at the cut sound track. That's awful.

If I didn't have the pc version and hadn't effectively retired my Xbox I'd probably buy it.

The framerate is pretty awful for me, not unplayable but CLEARLY not 30, especially when driving fast I feel like it gets closer to 20.

edit: Just to be clear when I'm like standing still or shooting it runs fine, it seems like it chugs when it has to stream.

shouldn't the 360 be powerful enough to run this at 60fps without any dips?

I mean GTA IV runs at the same framerate but has 10 times as much detail and stuff going on

Disappointed to hear about the song omissions AND the unsteady frame rate. I had considered picking this up but I doubt I will now.

Will wait and see if issues are ironed out.

Honestly the new assets look really weird, the PC version of San Andreas looks more natural than this port. Everything is made out of plastic, barbie material in the port.

At $3.74 this was a no-brainer. I have this game on like everyone platform imaginable and have yet to every really play it that much lol

I don't mind the idea of a port, but why last-gen? Why not throw that up there for those of us that have moved on?

The PC version can run on a toaster, has an incredible modding community (MTA and SAMP are better than GTAV's multiplayer) and can be had for dirt cheap. Don't really get the appeal, but I guess it's cool if your PC was built in the stone age.

I though this was a necro.

And we still don't have an HD version of Liberty City/Vice City Stories anywhere.

EDIT - Anyone play them on PCSX2?
