GTA V live action commercial images leak

Couldn't see this posted, but it seems some commercial images have leaked on the internet for GTA V.

I wonder how far they are willing to go to represent the game's content. :D

A live action commercial for a GTA idea seems like a bad idea..

Will be great for marketing.

Seems like Rockstar don't want to show any actual gameplay before release, like with 4th one. Interesting.

Next on Fox News: How will this live action commercial convince preschoolers to buy this deadly video game and inevitably destroy our children?

I quite like watching live-action marketing for certain games, like fantasy or sci-fi. But it feels weird for a "realistic" game, because I can already picture the events of a GTA or Modern Warfare game in reality.

holding back on showing gameplay vids I see? huh

Sounds bad to me. They tricked a lot of people this way for GTA4, I hope the press have a chance to play a good deal of the game before they have to put out the review at least. So far it's sounding like GTA5 might be like GTA4, movie looking set piece moments that will make for good gifs and clips, pretty world, nothing to do for fun. I will have months and months to see if it's good though. There is no way I'd buy a console version.

Boo, I loved the GTA3 and GTAIV ads because they always used actual images and music from the games to make awesome movie like trailers.

I wonder if it's possible for anyone besides me to actually like GTA IV. One of my favorite games this generation...

I love it, too. People who can't find fun things to do in it simply lack imagination and must be spoon-fed things to do.

A lot of people on gaf like it. Some that weren't fans of the GTA3's. It just really bummed me out that they went in a totally different direction from the gun random stuff of GTA3. Apparently there were hints from board members that GTAV will be returning to the fun, but with them holding everything to their chest until possibly everyone find out how the game is for themselves after they unlock the ability to freely do stuff in the world, we'll probably find out if it's fun very late.

The Diablo 3 effect, which should have been called the GTA4 effect. This term was never made, I'm just going by the most recent example of this. D3 sold off of the popularity of D2, and it sold buckets. I hope people that didn't like GTA4 take their time in buying GTA5 unless Rockstar give them information about the gameplay (not spoiling story for people that care about that in a gta game lol). I know people that liked GTA4 will friggin love this game. They can take road trips through the hills and valleys of a California setting. This can be like their sight seeing vacation from the city life game.

Edit: Oh crap didn't mean to derail the thread. I'm sorry about that. The GTA4 thing is a hot flammable topic, I usually ignore the GTA5 threads. I messed up, I'll wait until it's released or something to post in another thread about it. Hopefully it really is GTA SA HD with even more random stuff to do, like I heard it might be (I got GTA:SA on PC finally but the controller support was all messed up :( ).

They tricked a lot of people this way for GTA4,

I said they tricked a lot of people, not 50% people, not everyone. I didn't say no one liked GTA4. I read over my post, to make sure it wasn't as bad as it sounded from the posts after that quoted it. Come on, you guys have to admit, GTA4 left sour tastes in some people's mouth. I spent a long time trying to find ways to like it since the series introduced me to the sandbox genera that I ended up loving and play mostly now.

The reason I want the press to have time to review it fairly is if it's a great GTA game I want Rockstar to know it, if it's not as good as GTAblah blah I want Rockstar to know it. I want good things from GTA, I'm not wishing it to be bad. I like what Rockstar does with it's world, I don't know if they would listen to feedback, but I know they'd listen to metacritic.

Whats that in the garage?

Fairly certain that's just some sort of lighting - other images show it from a different angle. Could be mirrors.

I did just notice though - the one actor looks like he has a widow's peak, just like the protagonist.

This, more than any GTA V news, has me worried that Rockstar's marketing department might have lost the plot.

Yea, darn R* FOR not showing us everything about the game before it is released, I don't care about getting surprised during the game, I want to be spoiled!!!

So far they have shown a hell of a lot in the two trailers, they have shown some of the new content, what is returning ( under water, aircrafts, exciting missions), better characters, great story plot ( bank robberies), what the game will be like, mood of the game ( not dark like IV) and that is just in 2 trailers...

And Yes, I am one of those who enjoyed IV,SR and SD but found IV to be better.

I could see a live action GTA V commercial being pretty cool if they spend some money on good production values and has that Rockstar brand of humor in it.
