Good good, the more prehistoric stuff that comes out, the fewer excuses DICE will have to avoid adding dinosaurs to Battlefield.

Dino Riders! Best 80s cartoon! Same era as HeMan and Transformers.
Humans from space ride nice Dinosaurs and battle reptiles from space that control their Dinosaurs with devices on their head.

Enemy boss has a T-Rex. Good boss had Brachiosaurus.
That sounds magical^^ Why do we have four transfomers movies and not one of this yet? Get on this, US!^^

Man, I hope they bring that same weight of guns from killzone 2 and apply it to the melee weapons as well. Bashing a dino with a hammer or some shit....need it now.

Well I'm all in to this already. If they can eliminate the awkwardness from the cutscenes and provide a proper narrative, that'd be just icing on the cake.

uhhh...what?

concept art embodies the vision of the devs, or what the devs strive for.

especially in this dynamic concept art and not a character still.

you are severely underestimating the role of concept artists.
I never questioned what it's supposed to embody. I know their role but it means nothing to me because i (remember this is me not you) find it misleading.

All i'm saying is that this stuff has never been a reason for me to be excited about anything as i've always found it gives me unreasonable expectations. I just don't believe in it. But that's just me.

That looks awesome, hopefully it's not an FPS though.

Maybe a Monster Hunter type game? Or a survival one would be neat. PS4 is definitely missing stuff like that at the moment.

Simple. It's a leak.

If this was an official reveal and all they showed us was this concept art, the response wouldn't be like this.

Copying my comment from the other topic:

That concept is so awesome. I'd love Guerrilla to get the chance to make something a bit silly and outlandish, after the very stoic and humourless Killzone series.

And put Guerrilla Cambridge on Killzone henceforth, as Mercenary was the best one since KZ2.

Whoa, looks so ambitious and crazy. I love it.

Enough of Dragons in RPGs. We need Robo-dinos.

What do you know of both games?
santa monica ip got canceled because similarity to destiny. from the concept art alone, I do kinda get the vibe that this is going along the same genre. maybe not exactly like Destiny, but looks like it's gonna have multiplayer co-op element going on like destiny and borderlands

Well they hired the writer for Fallout NV so i doubt they wouldnt put his talents to use
GG hired someone outside the devteam to do the elaborate backstory and lore of Killzone universe and you can't really see any of those backstory in the game. I fear this will be like that too.

That's just a rumour/assumption. SCE has funded games that are very similar to other games in the same genre before, so them suddenly pulling the plug on SSM's game just because of Destiny have always sounded like the most absurd part of the story.

John Gonzalez isn't someone outside a dev team, he's by profession, a narrative designer with major experience in handling in-game scripting, cinematics, quest design, etc. Unless Guerilla is made of idiocy, you don't hire someone like Gonzalez to only do the 'story', you hire him for the full package of narrative design.

plus Barlog came out and implied that the rumor was garbage. But hey he could be just saying stuff for PR.

Definitely makes me curious.

Also, wasn't there some other source on here that said SSMs got canned because it kept failing QA and it just wasn't good, with the whole "it was too similar to Destiny" thing as a coverup? That seems more likely.

Wat. You realise John Gonzalez (the "New Vegas writer") is actually on the development team, right? There's a pretty huge difference between merely contracting out a job to an external writer and hiring someone to directly work on the game.
