Actually, if you read carefully, I am not. I said he can bet his account that I am not a troll and concerning this you (not me you) can also permaban bet your account that I am not a troll. I love gaf (not as much as I love HALO but still) and I would never bet my account.
 
I want to get hyped so bad, but the memory of the Halo 2/3/Reach reveals are still too fresh.

I love all Halo games, including Wars and ODST, but as I was saying earlier in the day, I want a Halo game that looks as good as it plays.

This bullshot gives me hope, but I wait to watch in motion.
 
So is anyone else thinking the new XBox isn't releasing soon ( 1-2 years ) due to Halo 4 being announced for 360? I don't want to know what tricks they are using to get it running..

Halo 2 released 1 year before the 360 hit.

2013 is probably when the new Xbox will hit.

That's what I have also been saying in the other thread...with a 60+ million user base they gotta keep the 360 going as long as they can. I don't expect to see the next XBOX at E3.
 
Mostly because nothing else was out.

a lot of people jumped to cod2 and then cod3 in 2006. and before h3 came out, the modern warfare hype was already in full force. not having h3 at launch (or a halo title in general) at launch was really stupid. i still think this is one of the reasons why halo "lost" many players to cod.

I have 2 wishes for Forge 3.0

1) A FUCKIN UNDO! Is that so hard?
2) A linking or snap too feature. I hate lining shit up. It a pain. I should be able to have a linking or magnet option that perfectly match up 2 pieces.

Both of these. Also, there are a lot of unused buttons when doing certain things in the Forge that could be attributed to supplemental actions that make Forging that much easier in general.


And for the love of God... please give us more than some shitty dark grey color palette. Some variety AT LAUNCH would be nice.

3) A linking system where multiple objects can be linked together and moved as one. Can't tell you how many times I've built a fortress or building and then needed to move everything just a couple feet left or up.

Screw that. Let us pick textures for objects in the same way we pick object colors. Maybe switch between forerunner / flat (and then pick an object color) / stone texture / metallic. That way if you want caves or something, you don't have to use a ton of Natural objects. And you can make cities that actually look like cities instead of giant forerunner clusterfucks.

i just really hope that forge objects will actually be properly lit and cast shadows. that alone would go a long ways to making a forge map more believable, and hopefully, with a newish engine, this will be possible.

and some basic landscape editing would be incredible too =)
