Kind of a PSA/Question but here are the following things being added this month (week) to Halo 5

Confirmed:
-SERVER BROWSER (Yes you can now browse for custom games on XBO/PC)
-Big fixes and optimization for PC version
-Observer Mode
-Arena/Warzone announcer voice packs
-"Biggest" Forge update ever (sanghelios map included)
-Extensive aiming improvements (its been reported there is now no input lag)
-General UI improvements
-Halo: Reach Grenade Launcher
-New GameType
-Even more new skins and armor

Leaked/Unconfirmed:
-Gun Game
-Race
-New Firefight Mode
-REQ Slayer
-CTF and Assault added to Warzone
-Sentinel Beam

The new gametype:
So 343 just sent these tease out today about what looks to be a new gametype
My ASSUMPTION is that this is a scriptable gametype that will allow players some access to the Megalo system so that they can create some crazy game modes. A very early version of Megalo in Halo: Reach allowed them to recreate chess and also Gun Game as well.

Images:
So while some people might have opinions on 343, I think their post launch support has be absolutely insane, yeah you could argue that some of this should have been in from the start but they have been constantly adding newer stuff as well. At this point I am convinced Halo 5 will be used as a base for Halo 6's MP suite.

What do you guys think about their post release support?

It's impressive how much they've added to Halo 5 MP, all for free. The REQ system is great because this is proof that 343i gets a ton of money from it and it doesn't ruin the core modes of the game.

Their post launch support has been excellent, exactly what the game needed. That said, the maps still leave a lot to be desired.

Halo's multiplayer is on the rise thanks to 343 and its great community. Lots of ups and downs, but one thing no one can take away from this franchise is the passion within.

Always looking towards the future.

Can you imagine if H5 as it is now is what we got at launch? Just crazy. Can't wait to see what comes with this CU and what they have in store for future.

Hopefully the aiming is finally fucking fixed, its been a god damn year. Each update to the settings they said they have improved it but nope.
Hopefully this is the one, a fucking year christ, they are so incompetent.

Server browser is cool

I'm really not a big fan of the post release support (Forge stuff being the exception) other than appreciating that they have been at least free.

The Arena maps have been horrible (except 1 map), hundreds of REQ's that I don't care about except for a coupple and Gametypes that are not even in matchmaking, because playlist management is straight up terrible.

I don't know if my HDD can handle any more updates
Yeah, it would be really really awesome, if they could split Campaign, Arena and Warzone from each other and make it so that you can download each seperately. 91GB is just ridiculous.

Why is the Store also not asking you what language you want to install/download, instead of having to download every single supported language?

I think 343 should consider doing a series of short SP DLC vignettes leading up to the release of Halo 6. They have improved the MP tremendously but there still exist a lot of questions about their ability to deliver a great SP experience.

Where I'm at. BTB especially. Still had a good bit of fun with it.
Halo 5 has a larger pool of maps I actually enjoy than games past.

Truth
Eden
Fathom
Plaza
Stasis
Mercy
Coliseum

Though I've never been a big BTB guy so the 4v4 maps are what I mostly care about. There are some really fun forge BTB maps though. Guillotine, Viking, Boulevard and Scavenger are all pretty great. Nokyard's/Nilla's Avalanche remake is also amazing, but it's not in MM. I will say Riptide, Overgrowth and Molten are trash and wish they'd take them out of ranked MM.

Halo 5, to me, is the pinnacle of console FPS games right now. Everything feels so right (it doesn't help that I've ALWAYS preferred Halo games!).

Their post-launch support has been nothing short of excellent, and they deserve kudos.

This is encouraging

Do you mean Arena?
Nope, sound files were found and they were in the context of Warzone

awesome, love the post launch support from 343 over a year later!

However, Halo 5 Forge needs some SMALL updates to work! For one, private lobbies!

They just need to make the aiming like it was in the beta! All those options given weren't needed and barely helped the aiming, I dont know why they dont get it.

The server browser is all that's missing on PC preventing me from playing. Won't that instantly create a sizeable community of players on PC? I don't have XBone but I love Halo 5. I should be thrilled about this right?

I think 343 is among the best in the industry in terms of post-release support. I imagine they have more updates planned for H5 leading up to the launch of Scorpio at the very least.

I really wish they'd bring all of H5 to PC, or at least more of MP (Warzone pls!), but I understand why they're not doing it or taking their time getting there.

Greener pastures.

Nothing else matters. This is what I have wanted since 2004. This is the feature that will make this game notable and give it a long lived population.

Better 12 years late than never.

The support for H5 from 343i has been nothing short of amazing and its this dedication and community support that has me hopeful that Halo 6 will combine the best of H4 (campaign) and the best of H5 (multi) into the best Halo game since 3.

Game browser could be the greatest thing ever.

Hope we are getting some good new maps. Both to play and to spice up hcs season 2. Also, let's get forge working for his. Why was that ever not a thing anyways?

Bravo 343i.

Halo 5 has legitimately the best MP of the series.

I have been playing the game so much lately. I enjoy it a lot, even if all of my friends are now too old to play.

Thank you 343 for all the free content and hard work for H5, easily the best sustain in Halo history! I've had my gripes and up'n'downs with networking since launch but I have to hand it to them with what they have produced in game and the population they have sustained for H5. Overall I still go back to play H5 and look forward to content releases.

Most looking forward to these, if they're added:
-CTF and Assault added to Warzone
-Arena/Warzone announcer voice packs
-New Firefight Mode
-REQ Slayer

*One sided objective
**PC vs Xbone crossplay would be interesting for a playlist or two
***an optional filter for solo vs teams when searching

I look forward to HW2 and H6. Please focus less on the engine, models, textures, sounds etc and really give rise to the old segment of competitive but not esports razor-focused maps and modes; or flipping the coin to just WZ. Think Halo 2 maps and modes re-imagined IMO.

I don't think there will be any new maps unfortunately. They usually tease new maps in one way or another, but there's been no indication this time around.

Pretty sure aiming improvements aren't confirmed. All we've had is some tweets from pros claiming it feels better. Wait until we get actual confirmation before getting your hopes up too much.

I enjoyed Halo 4's Spartan Ops.
