How good was the mile high level of Cod4 though? It was only like a minute long, but trying to do that on Veteran was great.
Speaking of CoD4..
Spartan Ops may still be able to do it, but why not like a sniper mission like CoD4 "All Ghillied Up" mixed with the beginning of Halo 1 "The Truth and Reconciliation". Such a simple concept that would be so badass.
What's it like doing God's work?
It's like a mixture of Halo 2 on XBL + a fleshlight.

To be honest, when i first heard of Spartan Ops i thought thats what the format would be. Short encounters like ones from campaigns from previous Halos. Or the segment from Halo 2, taking down the Scarab for example.
Short things like that wouldve been better suited for Spartan Ops. Maybe for season 2 or even if a Co op mode is in Halo 5 they should take that route.
Okay because I totally read everyone's without scrolling quickly to something more interesti...I mean, different.

pfft there's a better chance of Kyle suddenly liking Halo 4 before the OT ever gets updated. Can a mod switch the OT over to a different poster? I'll update it lol.
That's probably the single achievement on my list that I really truly had to work for. Sure I've boosted a few in other games, but that Mile High Club was a bitch.

Yea that and Seriously from Gears 1 for me. I was one of the lucky people to get it around 10,000. Loved the multiplayer of that game.
Another example of devs changing things that players loved about the games. Gnasher battles and the pace of Gears 1 are long gone. Sure the new ones are fun but its not the same.
Also that mission from cod 4 Cyren mentioned "All ghillied up" was awesome now that i think about it. Might go replay that game soon

Bungie faces always looked like ass. This example is more fair.
You can say what you want about these textures, but the art design in Halo 3 is unmatched.
Sierra 117 was one of the few good looking levels in Halo 3, the majority of the game looked pretty damn bad, character models and guns included. Good art direction and lighting for the overall style was what saved it, but it was not a good looking game IMO.
So glad I preordered that.. I was gonna let it go, but my GF got it for me for Christmas! (after I got charged way earlier than I expected)
Eh, it looks about right to me:
I do wish we could do that in game, maybe after a certain amount of damage is dished out to the Hunter.. and maybe it wouldn't need to be an insta-kill.

I always thought after you do a certain amount of damage to it the hunter kind of crouches down and you just go up behind him and hop on his back. Kind of like the finishing moves to brutes in Saints Row the 3rd

Yup, it would be cool, but it would have to only work after you did like 90% damage or something to keep them challenging to fight. Man I was hoping they would be that big in Halo 4, and also I was hoping for a finishing assassination/boarding.
They are doing a few.. MC, Palmer and some MP Spartans. They look pretty good also.
Im really looking forward to seeing the Sideshow Cortana the most though.

There's been quite a few gems of discussion in this thread, but yeah it's mostly nonsense and trolling, and the majority of folks seem to be down with that too. The Halo 4 OT has always been the place for filtered, serious discussion since launch. It's just advantageous to post here because this thread gets all the news (non-news?) first.
If you walked into this thread, often you may as well assume it resides in off-topic.
It's been that way for years now. This thread is no worse than any of the Reach threads in that regard.
This thread isn't really that much more negative or harsh towards its respective game than the Reach threads, either. There were plenty of times where the conversation was just about "what a piece of shit" it was.

Yeah, Reach threads got bad, but I guess I stopped posting before they got that bad if they really did.
It's just sad when good posters like Null, Ghaleon and sometimes juices (although he also has his probably larger share of sins) get drowned out by this drivel. Though I guess Ghaleon doesn't post much anymore, kinda can see why. Is this the part where I say RIP Ghaleon?

Just told me friend who got bought the LE Halo 4 that all Halo 4 who played the game in the first 14 days get to download the Crimson Map Pack for free until Dec 18.
