Halo |OT14| They call it Halo

If your normal walking speed was brisk then then sprint wouldn't be necessary. I don't ever like having to press a button or down on an analog stick to sprint. It gets annoying after a while since it should be automatic. You want yourself at your fastest speed 99% of the time. H5 should dump sprint and just increase the normal speed.

MechAssault talk?! Hellz yes.

Too bad I never played the second one after putting so many hours into the first one;'[
I beleive MechAssault 2 works on the 360. Get a copy on ebay or whatever. It's one of my most favourite games of all time.
Battle Armor, VTOLs, Tanks, vehicle jacking, awesome mechs, amazing visuals etc. etc. This game had it all.

Halo 4: Spartan Ops Episode 7 preview
Most of Episode 7 takes place on Infinity and while there are some larger, sandbox combat arenas
, the best missions are set in tight quarters with more enemies than it seems reasonable for a few Spartans to handle.

Halo is always at its best when combat feels chaotic and the predictability of the AI breaks down because they’re just sort of everywhere. In these moments, it’s only great twitch shooting that can get you through the fight. There’s a great moment in one of the latter missions when you reach a small hallway and Covenant are rushing straight at you like the bulls of Pamplona. Of course, in Pamplona you don’t have a shotty and sticky ‘nades.

Episode 7 of Spartan Ops gets it right in terms of story, pacing, and mission structure. It also lays the groundwork for the end of Season 1 and finally shows that what happens in Spartan Ops will impact future Halo stories.
I spoiler'd it, so you have been warned.

Agreed, but I've never wanted JiP as a solution to quitters.
What would you deem an acceptable solution to the problem? There are always going to be people who quit games early, I don't think pure negative reinforcement would solve that. Visible ranks and having quitting effect ranks does help, but that is a whole other can of worms.

In my opinion, join in progress is the best "social/casual" solution to the issue. For "competitive" gametypes I don't think it's appropriate though, unless games you join don't count towards the ranking..

Why don't games give you an option where you insert your preference. Disable joining games in progress for yourself, or enable it. Give you two different options. I don't mind joining a game in progress, and I only want to join lobbies.

Use JIP in social games.

For ranked games use a quit ban or maybe include some sort of vote to forfeit feature that pops up when the game becomes 4v3 or 4v2 like when there is a betrayal.

Ew, no. They don't know Halo.
"Halo is always at its best when combat feels chaotic and the predictability of the AI breaks down because they’re just sort of everywhere. In these moments, it’s only great twitch shooting that can get you through the fight."
That quote made me weep. Because great twitch shooting made the Scarab encounter on "The Ark" good.

I for one shat a brick when we got that video of Nightfall on Heroic of Six fighting a Concussion Rifle-toting Major Elite one-on-one. It felt like a natural extension of Halo CE's combat AI rather than trying to be potentially "efficient" or "realistic;" it seemed just right. Kind of like the AI in Doom compared to Rage.

That doesn't sound right. They must love The Library if that's the case.

So I decided to play Halo 4 again for 2 hours because I didn't have anything to do tonight :(

It turned out to be pretty fun, because I was playing against a constant stream of incompetent enemies. I was almost laughing at their stupidity. I don't know why I was playing against such bad players. Maybe my trueskill for Infinity slayer got reset, or there are a shitton of new horrible players starting to play the game. If I can keep playing against those guys, I may actually enjoy Halo 4.

There was one game on Haven, where I got 38 kills and 4 ordnance drops. Each ordnance kept giving me another. And just after my 4th ordnance shotgun was empty, the game decided to spawn an incineration cannon next to me :lol

This game is so broken.

Played the forge playlist and I was pleasantly surprised. I love how constant weapon drops make the game have structure

Also what's this about a competitive playlist? Sounds awesome, bringing halo back to its roots

Team Hardcore is the perfect name for that playlist.
Not if you want to have any chance at pulling more casual players away from the Infinity or vanilla lists and have a lasting population above 10k. It's a descriptive name, but I think you kind of have to downplay that and trick people into trying good Halo settings that ordinarily wouldn't give a second thought to a Pro or Hardcore playlist by naming it something that doesn't carry so much baggage.

I don't think there is any chance of that happening regardless of what you name it. It's going to be a niche playlist, Infinity list will always have 50 times the population, so you might as well name it what it should be named.

Also, I've yet to see a good name suggestion in this thread.
