Ok it has been 2 days but still worth it to notice.

It came out on july 1st in the US later in europe but it has been that long i watched it when i was around 11 or 12 years old not much later but even today the pinnacle of movies and still one of the most awesome action movies.

Having the movie on blu ray it still looks great hopefully we get a re release it deserves it. Tell me about your memories gaf!

Still the greatest intro to date!

What an awesome movie. I think the soundtrack has aged horribly, but everything else is amazing. This is the first R rated film I've ever seen. Watched it with my dad when I was 4.

@bolded, no way, escape from the hospital (and the T-1000) is great!

It's a phenomenal movie. The action still holds up. But I think the first one is more special.

I saw the movie once in the theatre and a couple of times on VHS but I've never really been interested in seeing it since. I always just go back to the first Terminator instead. I remember liking the first half of T2 much more than the second. It's odd since I really like the cast and the characters.

One of the first adult action movies I saw in a theater. Great times. One of the best action movies of all time. When I think of action films, this movie pops in my head right away.

Goddamn on an artistic and visually interesting level, this blows whatever trickery Avatar was selling out of the water to me.

The film itself is a perfect action vehicle. I personally prefer Terminator 1 as a movie, but T2 nailed what it was going for.

Would kill for another Cameron movie that isn't Avatar but that's unlikely now for a long time.

Edit: T2's soundtrack has....aged??? Rewatched recently, its still stellar

GOAT of Cameron's films for me. I place it just above Aliens. Also the first R-rated movie that I didn't have to sneak out and see. My parents picked me up from school early and took me opening day.

I saw that Schwarzenegger made roughly $21,000 per word for the film.

The stark visuals, the industrial sound, the level of violence, the dry humour, T2 is perfect in every department. Best blockbuster of all time.

I still can't believe how badly the sequels failed to understand everything about Terminator despite having everything laid out for them in the first two films.

Cameron kinda snookered the sequels, in that I'm honestly of the opinion the 'future war' works far better as a hinted at backdrop and narrative consequence whispered at by a war torn veteran than actually seeing it.

Sure we saw hints of it, with Camerons permanent night and great eye for colour hues, but I don't believe it could present a better movie than 1 or 2, even if Cameron himself were at the helm.

In the face of that, we've just had variations of the chase movie in 3, a misguided future war in Salvation (that was at least an interesting failure to me) and Genisys that didn't know what the fuck it wanted to be.

A good solid direction for it was Sarah Connor Chronicles but even that wasn't able to take the audience anywhere truly new.

Great movie, but it ranks lower than Aliens and the first Terminator for me.
Very good movie. I prefer The Terminator, but I still have a good time with this. Action is top notch.
T1 is better, but its one of the GOAT action movies.

T1 isn't even an action film. It's basically a horror/thriller film.

It's hard to compare the two.

That scene made my jaw drop when I first saw the movie as a kid. The way the T800 turned was noticeably smoother and more realistic than the stiff animations of the first one.

I remember going to a talk about sound design once and the guy compared all the real guns from this film vs. their sound effects. They didn't take it to 11 they took it to like 18. Incredible stuff.

Love the this film! On a related note, I'm super excited to watch a special 30th anniversary screening of Aliens at San Diego Comic-con in a few weeks!

Pretty much the only movie from that era that absolutely stands the test of time, including the special effects. Quintessential action movie of forever.

I often think how if they didn't reveal Arnold was a good character in this film how big of a twist that would've been when people saw it for the first time.

What?.....

Is there going to be a panel of this featuring the actors?

I agree, I rank T1 slightly above T2. Aliens or T2: which is better? That's a tough one.

One of the GOATS, simply phenomenal movie that is almost peerless in the genre.

Will watch most likely today or tomorrow on my new shiny ipad.

Still the best.

I want to the cinema twice to watch this, the only time I have been to the cinema twice to watch a movie.
