What a strange statement. Simply saying ten years of support will happen doesn't mean it will when the market ultimately decides what kind of active lifespan and support a platform will have against anything the manufacturer intends. Definitely a way of adding a light to the end of dark and winding tunnel that seems to only head deeper into the earth, IMO.EEDAR article said:However, Divnich added that the PS3s 10-year support cycle will allow the console much opportunity, despite short-term concerns.

That's the biggest part of the "points" method. You'll notice the points rankings don't always match with the one that shows purely how close people were in overall units.hooijdonk17 said:Wouldn't scoring in this 'game' make more sense in terms of percentages? 1% difference in november and december is not the same as 1% difference in july.. It would be nice to have an "alternate" scoring method
Point System:
1. Correct hardware rankings - 10 pts.
2. 20 points * (percentage of correct units for hardware system); anything over 100% difference = 0 points. Maximum points: 120
3. Bonus points for finishing in the top 10 by units for the month:
#1 - 17 points
#2 - 13 points
#3 - 11 points
#4 - 9 points
#5 - 7 points
#6 - 5 points
#7 - 4 points
#8 - 3 points
#9 - 2 points
#10 - 1 point
