Have you ever accidently sent an mean angry text message to someone?

Hello, my name is Yves Guillemot, Vivendi S.A.'s Employee of the Month!
I was wondering if anyone's ever done this? This was a childish thing I used to do in high school when fighting with one of my exes, I would type out a really mean message, and then delete it. But there was one time, one time, when I accidentally pressed send on impulse. Freaked the hell out, was apologizing like crazy, etc etc.

this ever happen to anyone else?
 
I have talked shit about a person while texting someone else, and then accidentally sent it to that person because I didn't realize which message I was in.
 
I tell my buddies that I'm at work and I love them sometimes in the mornings when meaning to text my wife. They don't seem to mind though.
 
Never really sent the text, if I'm feeling irritated with someone via text I have often started typing out the text, taken a deep breath and then looked at and thought about if it was worth sending. Don't really think it's childish, just a decent way of inwardly venting.

Then you think of a more polite way to go "stop being a fucking dick".
 
if only somehow we could use mobile phones to talk to each other with our voices you know hash shit out without some texting shit.

I know which is fair enough, but I think it's still better to talk about the shit that is making you mad with the other person maybe you'll end up for the better.

It's like one of those cliches that you can't believe can actually happen to you irl. HS was a lot like that, like holy shit.
 
i've done this in writing. i would write angry, hateful letters to people, put them in envelopes, write an address and put a stamp on, and then take them to a mailbox. sometimes they would slip my fingers and actually fall in the box.
 
Nah, but this reminded me one time where I tried to sent a text to my friend who was out with his crush saying "KISS HER!"

And I accidentally sent it to her instead......

Well I could have thrown a grenade in my cousin whatapp chat group but I am like ah I don't want to deal with the fall out damage.
 
I texted my boss once thinking I was texting my brother.

"Where the f are you you pos"

"Hu?"

"Bring your ass man I'm serious"

I didn't realize until the next day.
 
Must be nice to have people to text. Sometimes I leave myself messages on the fridge with my magnetic alphabet. Never anything mean tho
 
If I ever get angry enough to type something I might regret sending later, I'm cognizant of it before sending. What I do is delete the message, take a deep breath, and either refrain from messaging or word things differently.
 
No. However, I once set a text to a girl I liked instead of sending it to my adult film industry friend. It was about tall Alison Taylor is in person and how my friend should hook me up with Stoya. There was also something in there about how short James Deen is IRL.

The response was really cool since the girl I accidentally texted knows how close I am to that friend.
 
A girl I used to work with was a car trip with our scumbag boss and typed a text to me about how she couldn't wait to be out of the car and away from him, called him creepy etc.

Sent it to him.

Tried to play it off as a joke.

Not very effective.

It's not Childish to vent your frustrations in writing. It's actually very cathartic for many people. Though I'd do it in a word document instead a text message or e-mail. Just to avoid sending it. But with that said, no I've never done it by mistake.
