Yeah, I forgot that it was released on PC as well, I guess that would explain why that shot looks considerably better.

I agree. I don't what anything we've already seen.Medalion said:I hope for the sake of Zelda, it is none of those things and just surprises us that we don't know what to make of it anymore

Zelda is a respected woman of noble ascendance. Then one day, a legendary slave merchant, known as Ganon kidnapps and rapes Zelda. So her platonic love, Link, embarks in a quest of vengance. Links successfuly kills Ganon but when he returns to the land his love discovers Zelda, has Ganon´s son. So Links with feelings of betrayal, abandons the land. The player will asume the role of Ganon´s son and his goal to avange his father dead
This could be a history with lots of potential and very original for a Zelda game.

This is a great view of what it should look like, though it should be in 3D. This picture reminds me of that GBC commercial, which is what I truly believe the next Zelda should attempt to mimic (at least the ideas in it):TekkenMaster said:![]()

Look, I'm generally open for creativity and original ideas. I wouldn't mind a more post-modern take on Zelda or Mario with a reinterpretation of the archetypes and plots in those stories. So if someone would come to me and say he's got a crazy idea about, say, a Zelda game in a modern-day setting that twists those classic archetypes around, then I'd at least be interested in hearing him out.Refreshment.01 said:A more adult history is in order. Sweet stuff i know. To not let this go to waste we should make a petition webpage to submit our ideas so Nintendo takes notice.apana said:Wow, yeah I'm speechless.

I was thinking Miyamato needs to take some cues from one of the most deep combat system for action game ever, God of War. Nintendo should apply the exact same combat system.
Well look apana and others like.
But whats the problem? I think is time for the Zelda franchise to step up and bring the A+ game. And adult history for this times is a neccesity. But i don't know if Nintendo has quailty writers to device a history like that. Maybe they could search help from skillful directors like Michael Bay for ideas.

It will be gritty but with the graphic style of the screens i posted or like Wind Waker but with good character art style.apana said:SMH, when did I say we should have a gritty Zelda?
Yea, but Nintendo likes gameplay also. Imagine how much cool gameplay Zelda will have with a history more focused in adult themes. Much of the series fans are adults anyway.Joei said:How about we have a game like all the other console Zelda's, just with, you know, HD graphics?

Raging Spaniard said:Not to blow anyones minds, but mixing Ocarina and Wind Waker art styles together kind of gives you Skyward Sword.
What you are talking about? Themes like revenge, murder and the insulted honor are powerful emotional motivators that has expanded literature for generations.Raging Spaniard said:I have a bad reaction towards your ideas because to me they sound terrible. There is nothing compelling in the least about that art style you posted. Nothing.
Your story idea is just not compelling. Making something for adults is a lot more complicated than just throwing "rape" around.
Well my friend history deserves more consideration in order to restore the series to its former glory. Do you remember the hughe leap Zelda:II premise was from the first one? So it means Nintendo was at some time in this adult train of thought.Kozak said:No. No. No.

In fact, a lot of the suggestions here are a lot like Skyward Sword.

Refreshment.01 said:What you are talking about? Themes like revenge, murder and the insulted honor are powerful emotional motivators that has expanded literature for generations.
Maybe you got somewhat agitated because your imagining Ganon raping a 9 year old Zelda, Nintendo could easily do it for a japanese audience (since Japanese are more mature people with less tabus), but for Occidental Audiences they could up the age barrier. Either way the rape theme isn´t essential. The history could envolve Zelda getting killed and Link´s quest to avange her.
I know some might get outraged, but just consider the amount of attention and sales a Zelda game with something more obscure. Lets say Zelda isn't the center piece of the history or shes not present at all. Nintendo could focus in the relationship between Ganon and Link. Imaging if Ganon was Links mentor and at some time he tries to abuse him, Link resists and Ganon sends the order to kill him. So Links is presumed death but survives and thats were you start the adventure to set the score straight. But vengange needs to be the at the center stage of an adult oriented tale.

Raide said:I think the main issue with Zelda is that the world can feel a little empty and disconnected. Some of the towns feel a empty or even a little fake. Characters just stand around and mutter the same lines. Sure that is an old RPG issue but Zelda could work on that.
The overall story is not really that important but the way it progresses is important. Often I can feel like I am in the story and then I am out doing things that don't really feel connected to what I am supposed to do. Fishing is awesome but it feels odd when the world is ending all around you.![]()

apana said:Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, and even Twilight Princess all had interesting stories. That is not one of the things Nintendo needs to work on. I prefer Zelda have stories that are for all ages rather than "mature", the games need to appeal to everyone.
Well it might be not that important to you guys but theres a considerable chunk of the Zelda base that desperatly claims for Nintendo to reinvigorate that old carcass that has become Zelda story telling.Raide said:The overall story is not really that important but the way it progresses is important. Maybe then, we should take the focus out of the history and center more in how´s delivered?
This is other aspect that needs to be reformed. The game needs a full orchestrated sound track. And voice acting for most of the characters.
For the Occidental voice track Liam Neeson would constitute the ultimate voice for Ganon. Kate Winslet fits the bill perfectly for a Zelda impersonation. And for Links voice, Nintendo should opt for someone thats cuarrently relevant and its really charismathic with the masses so Justin Beaver is a no brainer. He could even compose and sing the main theme for the Zelda sound track and make the expirience feel more cohesive.
