I saw that quote as well. Doesn't put him in the best light, but being belligerent drunk never does. Still not seeing how that's particularly racist in itself.

I feel more sorry for him than I think most people do. He's going out there and getting wasted because he's mentally and physically addicted to it.

Ok... I see where those two lines are problematic. Certainly racist, but there are degrees to racism. It's still a far cry from Mel Gibson.

I'm not surprised that TMZ would hype this up. They are a Trump supporting outlet, and this is a good opportunity to get one for their man.

It's not like the police look good here in one of the videos, toying with the dude while he's obviously in pain.

I don't know if I'd call Shia racist. Dumb, ignorant, and confused as fuck, but not racist. When he's not stumbling around like a buffoon, he seems to be genuinely trying to make a positive difference. Shame he's a few screws loose.

The only way I could maybe see racist is if he was implying "shouldn't you be out there arresting black people instead of white people" with what he said, but I didn't really get that from his rant

There are departments where visible tats aren't allowed at all. I had a close childhood friend get rejected once, because of his lower arm tats. He had to move to a state with much more lax rules.
