This was already explained on the first page. The deli guy is the wife because of the product. No it is not gay. However, the entire joke of the commercial is that the two men kiss. It grabs your attention. I don't like that. There are other ways of conveying the same joke without involving two men.

I thought that ad was pretty good when I saw it. Though living in the world we do I also knew it would have a lot of people complaining.
