NoNpDrm released by TheFloW: --redacted link--

Wololo article.

Edit: You know, since the main use of this app is for piracy, I won't be linking it directly here. I guess it's OK to talk about it in general terms, but I don't think providing download links is a good idea.

Of course you are correct, but for me this is simply the convenience of not having to dig out and redownload my PS plus games on my PS3 every year.

For those of us still on 3.60, you may have noticed that if your PSPlus expired on the Vita, even with active subscription on your PSN account, you can't make it go back online to update your licenses without updating to newest version.

Well NoNpDrm fixes that problem, now you can play your PS Plus games without issue :)

Yay! I had that problem the other day, licenses expired and couldn't get them back. Now I can finish Muramasa in peace.

I just received a Vita from someone on GAF on 3.51 and started looking up guides. Holy cow, there are a lot of them out there. Can anyone recommend me the best one to use to get up to 3.60 and then get on Henkaku?

Got it up and running and it is on version 3.51.

But that still uses an illegal certificate, yes? Wouldn't that mean your account could potentially get flagged? I still want to play Lumines, but I still want to go online to compare scores too.

I don't see how you would get banned, if you have an active ps plus, your actual account would show that you have a legitimate license. It just stops the vita from refusing to run it.

Use Adrenaline for PSP games.

Ah, that makes sense then. So I guess the same could be said for games purchased in the future (as long as they don't require >3.60), provided one can find a "clean" dump of it. Sweet.

i still don't know how to use it,always getting errors or fail to launch the game.
i only get it to work one time, and when exit the game i return to adrenaline it self.

Make sure you have first installed the VPK provided with the download, as it includes the files the program needs to work on your Vita. Then post a screenshot of your configuration before creating the VPK.

It just makes a "shortcut" to a PSP game through Adrenaline, so once you're in-game, it's as if you had booted it through Adrenaline. In order to quite the game, keep pressing the PS button until the PSP configuration screen comes up. Then press Setting and you'll get to the Adrenaline settings page. Just quit Adrenaline from there.

Legit (OT) question:
how much i should price a 1000 Vita Oled with 3 memorycards (16+32+32), 3.60 (not modded) and 6 games?

I have all the boxes, included the value pack (with carry pouch, headset in ear, etc). Thinking of selling mine as i dont use it anymore and i'm not bothered with modding it.

Thanks :)

PSVGameSD released.

This application is designed for two main tasks:

Produce 1 to 1 dumps of game cards.
Introduce functionality that allows to run these dumps.
Aplication consists of user application that manages the driver settings and kernel plugin that is used to emulate game card.

You get .psv ROM files, which are the PS Vita equivalent of traditional ISOs, Game Boy Advance .gba or Nintendo DS .nds (1:1 copies of a gamecard). According to Yifan Lu, it's an even superior way to NoNpDRM (for which he suggests "nuking" all dumps). This doesn't work with digital games just yet, only game carts. It's not compatible with SD2Vita for the moment.

Yeah, my memory card isn't going back in its slot anymore. I'll wait for the SD2Vita update, I just found my carts too.

How are native (non-PSP) emulators on Vita? Is SNES more or less perfect?

About the only one I've had issues with is GBA games, so I just ran those through the older PSP emulator and it worked fine.

I'm in the process of resetting up my Vita. Screwed up when I was moving everything over from my 64GB Vita card to my SD card and lost everything.

It's a pain in the ass, but I'm looking forward to getting my PS1 games back on, as that's really all I use my Vita for.

Pixel scaling on gpSP sucks but it is the only full speed-ish available emulator and it IS a PSP program so you are stuck running through Adrenaline. AFAIK there are no acceptable GBA cores that run natively at this time.

With SNES, again, the resolution leaves a lot to be desired but is more reasonable at 512x480 than being stuck with 480x320. CATSFC and Snes9x offer similar experiences and for the most part run well, aside from some SuperFX and more graphically intense games.

I know it's a vita thread, but honestly if you want the perfect SNES experience, I mean literally pixel perfect, (snes had same vertical resolution as top 3ds screen) you should check out a New 3DS or New 2DS, and get some injected snes virtual console games. I have about 90% perfect working rate, really only can't do a few games that required the extra chips built in (super mario rpg, yoshi's island)

When you create a bubble for a PSP/PSX game on the Vita Live area, and you quit the game, it doesn't go back to the Vita live area right? It will end up back to the emulated PSP "Adrenaline" OS?

Yes. You can however quit it the same way you quit Adrenaline (holding down the PS button and using Adrenaline settings to exit PSPEMU , in order to exit back to LiveArea.

there is no need to holding down the PS button and using Adrenaline settings to exit PSPEMU , in order to exit back to LiveArea.

just press the PS button twice and you will exit the bubble even if you are using Adrenaline.

I've been reading about the differences between NoNpDRM and psvgamesd. It seems the former is much more useful for the end user, while the latter is much more powerful for archival purposes. I guess NoNpDRM will be the de facto format for private use (or, well, piracy mostly) and psvgamesd will be used by people concerned with games preservation.

You can make a NoNpDRM rip from a psvgamesd dump, though. So that's a reason to keep a .psv image secure even if you're not going to use it.

Oh, that's good to know!

Has anyone managed to get the Disgaea 2 DHD DLC to work on Adrenaline yet ? (my interest is mainly academic since I can use the steam version instead really).

The inability to dump digital stuff is probably psvgamesds major weakness now. It definitely makes sense to backup/store stuff in that format if you can but to use NoNpDRM for actual use on a Vita (just due to space)

I uninstalled my ps+ games when my subscription ran out .. now that I have the 3 month subscription back - is there any way to redownload the games and use NoNpDrm on them? Via ps4 eventually?

Sorry for your loss, but these things are pretty much updated as soon as they're manufactured. Anyway, aren't there ads for secondhand ones that specify the firmware?
This is what I ended up doing. If you search eBay, there are listings for used Vitas that are still on firmware 3.60. I purchased a OLED Vita for $169.99 which just came in today. I probably paid too much for a used one, but I wanted a proper hacked vita in my hands finally.

Looks like everything is good to go. Enso has been installed. Is there any risk to logging onto PSN at this point? Will Sony ban my account if I link it to a vita with Henkaku/Enso?

No one knows, better stay safe, beside , you can't even activate your Vita or download your own games, so it's better not t to use your main account.

Just started this game yesterday and did not have that issue. You are taking about the fight very early on in be game, right?
