One of the issues I had especially during the Wii era was essentially America calling the shots for europe. What ever version we got of a game it was the American one, which meant censorship everywhere.
If you take Germany out of the EU equation (who always got their own special version anyway) then the EU would need much less censoring back in the day. The fact that games have to go through NOA's tree house to be ruined with more recent titles like Fire Emblem is one of the core issues we keep running into.
The way every game needs to have a gun zommed-in to be marketed and acceptable for the USA lmao.
Final Fantasy games had the best covers outside of america as well.
The logo with a white background was honestly iconic here in Europe and Japan back in the day.
The original cover hits much harder. I remember picking up my German copy (same cover as the US version) and being instantly disappointed, because the same store had the Japanese version as well and I kept drooling over that cover for months.
I'm surprised Kamiya hasn't blocked Capcom USA on twitter.
