Some details from the site that people aren't talking about:

- This is a studio that is made to launch a brand new RPG IP. Not a single game
- It is also a recruitment campaign for the studio, they are hiring planners, designers, and programmers
- The spec they are hiring for is "high end systems", and they welcome experience in UE4 and Unity
- They are also looking for Battle planners and programmers with Action RPG experience, which indicates the direction of the combat
- This is a subsidiary of S-E Holdings, and not just an internal studio of S-E Japan, this is similar to Tokyo RPG Factory, their own company

Who the hell decides of the project names for these things?

Not as bizarre as Project Octopath Traveler.

Square Enix would do themselves and their fans a favor if they would stop announcing games that don't even have names yet.

Concept art looks cool though. I wish the studio the best of luck with their first project.

Square-Enix really chooses terrible names.

Concept art does seem neat. Wonder when we will actually see this hit the light.

As to why it was announced so early, it is just like with the new project from Atlus and Cyberpunk, they are using it to mass recruit members for development.

Here is the message from the recruitment section:

Using the special aspects of Japanese culture as our greatest strength, we will send the the entire world a fantasy world from Japan
This makes it sound like a console game since they are targeting a world wide audience. They don't really say these sort of things when it comes to mobage.

that puzzling face
The dragon looks like a combination between Vryn from Granblue Fantasy and a Moogle from Final Fantasy.

why

why would you do this

why would you go and ruin it for everyone

can't unsee

it must have been a wild night

I'm sorry to ruin it for you (and everyone else), but what was said needed to be said! At least now I'm not the only one that sees a Vryn/Moogle hybrid. Now I feel better.

Hate to be pessimistic but Square announces a lot of mobile games now a days, soooo I'm not gonna get hyped until its confirmed NOT to be mobile. -_-

I was thinking phone game primarily because Square-Enix is busy making Final Fantasy VII-Remake, Kingdom Hearts III, Dragon Quest XI and doing work on Final Fantasy XIV which is always ongoing, but if this is meant to be a recruitment drive then honestly now I'd be more shocked if it WERE a mobile title.

Wow, yeah it does have Baba's name as representative director and leaving the message on the site.

That's really strange. Is he working at both places now like Ancel?

Baba was not the producer on Berseria, so that left people wondering what happened to him. At least now we know.
