I always try and understand the appeal of Trump and I just don't get how any able bodied human being can be fooled by this crap. It takes about 30 seconds of him speaking to understand he is a complete fuckwit.
Uneducated people who watch Fox News and are easily swayed as long as the person speaking seems to fit their narrative.

Also racism.

So in terms of this: https://www.lawfareblog.com/how-listen-jim-comeys-testimony-monday

We were definitely at option 3 and then some right?
Yes he did a new article that said that. Option 3+. It would only be worse if Comey had completely clammed up.

Meanwhile Nunes has told a reporter he "doesn't know who Carter Page or Roger Stone is". Which is simply incredible if true and show just how little the majority of the Hill knows about russia connections vs almost any random political news junkie.

He lied:

.@DavidCornDC That's weird since Nunes confirmed the WH asked him to refute a report mentioning Page and Stone... washingtonpost.com/powerpost/hous…

When you've told so many lies it's hard to keep your story straight.

Schiff with the stamina on AC360

I think Schiff may have a pres run in him
He knows he has to go hard right now. This is their chance to blow shit wide open so getting it out there and making it stick is huge.

So I'm seeing a lot of "they confirmed they have no proof of collusion" coming from conservatives. What's the deets on what did and didn't get said during the meeting?
Comey: "I currently cannot comment on that"

He's rich, male and white... errm... orange. Oh and the people who voted for him are just plain stupid.

To add, Trump claimed that Comey indicated that during the hearing (which he didn't), and then Comey was later asked about that same tweet in that same hearing, and he specifically said that is not what he said.

It's a lie. He literally did not confirm or deny a single thing aside from the fact that the FBI is currently investigating Russia and the Trump campaign, and that Trump's wiretap claims were bullshit.

Swalwell is a fucking Kennedy with those looks but if I were him I would straight up change my name before I did a pres run. He did a damn good line of questioning today as well. Dems have a lot of good candidates on the up.

Comey got quizzed in a really bizarre exchange with the GOP where they talked about a sports team, the GOP line seems to be ok fair enough you have definitive proof Russia was working against Hillary, but that doesn't mean they were working FOR Trump right? And Comey was saying well this is two sides of the same coin isn't it.

So the GOP fallback position is that they're ok with a foreign power that isn't a US ally working actively to damage the campaign of HRC if nobody can prove that they were also talking to team Trump.

Sorry this isn't an answer to what got said exactly but you can see where it leads.

KING: I guess it was just two weeks ago that Director Clapper said that as far as he knows, all the evidence he's seen, there's no evidence of any collusion at all between the Trump campaign and the Russians.

COMEY: Mr. King, it's not something I can comment on.

KING: But again, you're not going to disagree with General Clapper, you're just not going to comment. And the reason I'm pointing that out is, that's sort of the situation, you know, the other way around that you can't comment on something, often there's inference out there that because a person's name is brought up, because he may have worked with somebody at a certain time, that there's a guilt implied in that so that's one problem.

The only people that confirmed there was no collusion, is the dumb ass republicans on the intelligence committee. Comey not commenting means there is an active investigation

Clapper spoke without having all of the facts and was talking about one single report, which the republicans have clinged to as proof.

Love how Republicans just decided to make up their own fanfic on the fly like that.
It's not like they've been doing any different this whole time. "Alternate the facts" is now the GOP mission statement and their skill(?) at it is the only tie keeping them in power/justifying their policies and positions in our government.

That was just the Republicans regurgitating what Clapper said on Meet the Press a few weeks ago. Comey specifically stated there was no information indicating collusion in the report Clapper was referring to on that broadcast, but as for the ongoing FBI investigation he refused to comment because, after all, it's classified information.

What did or didn't Clapper say previously? I tried searching for it but it's hard to wade through the Breibart shit and no-name sites all doing hot-takes on it.

A report that had been based on showing that there was hacking. Afterwards it looks like the scope of the investigation expanded to include collusion but that was after Clapper's term ended.

I wonder when Trump thinks to himself the money isn't worth it and then goes HAM on Russia in order to deflect accusations that he's being soft on them. I wonder if that's how WW3 starts. Over a pee pee tape.
