It's pretty common to base the faces of videogame characters on real faces since it's much easier then coming up with good looking original faces.

Pretty sure almost every face in the Mass Effect games are based off a real person, a lot of the main characters are face scans.

I know the mocap actor for Jack Shepard but im pretty sure he's based off the guy from LOST considering he even has the same name:

The name is from the first American in space and his face is from Mark Vanderloo, nothing to do with Jack Shephard or Matthew Fox, lol, though he usually comes up when actors are suggested for a ME Movie.
