I'd like to see an action F-Zero spin-off starring Captain Falcon

Let's be honest, F-Zero as a racer is basic dead according to Nintendo. I've never been a big racing fan, but I've always appreciated the games since they have such great music and diverse cast of characters. Captain Falcon's backstory is that of a former police officer turned bounty hunter, but we've not seen very much of this side of him in action.

So, what do you think, would you like to see an action-adventure F-Zero game starring C. Falcon? If it was successful (which it would be thanks to the Smash Bros. community) it might rekindle interest in F-Zero.

I know how this drastic change might be too much for people, its just that I only really check out the F-Zero games because I am a big Falcon player in Melee and Project M. I'd just like to see a game devoted around him kneeing people haha

basically, A Falcon-punch based Musou game!

I'd like to see one for all the Nintendo characters. And maybe they could fight each other? Just throwing it out there

You mean like this?

I think F-Zero has some really fun settings and characters that I think would be neat to explore. Everything is so over the top and has these elaborate backstories that are just there for the hell of it, I'd enjoy delving a bit further into it, be it in a spinoff action game or a more in-depth story mode in the next (nonexistent) racing game.

And then there's my fantasy of some sort of crazy brawler/racing game open world hybrid that is too insane to ever exist but I can't stop thinking about.

How about we have Sega work on it again and they make it like a Crazy Taxi hybrid?

You race to certain locations (sometimes against opponents; criminals, fellow bounty hunters), go through a quick beat-em-up segment ath the location (to take down a kingpin and his small army of henchmen and collect a bounty), and then race to the next location. All the while the clock is ticking.

It could be an incredibly stylized nod to western comic books (like F-Zero X was), complete with black shadow cel shading.

We know he's a racer, but let's see more of this 'bounty hunting' we've never actually seen him do.

If they were okay with putting Star Fox in a Zelda-ish title, F-Zero's universe really deserves the chance to expand its wings. I'd be all over this.

F-Zero Adventures has a certain
horrifying
ring to it. Be careful what you wish for.

Then again I'm not the best person to ask, I enjoy F-Zero for the racing and the car/track design (and music), while I always found the characters a little too silly/cheesy (The original cast was OK, but from X on they were 50% forgettable 50% just... too sonic-fanfic-character-y).

I have written many times, that I think F-Zero has to much character to not branch out into other genres. An open world action adventure in a huge sci-fi setting where driving still would play a huge part, would be amazing. Bring in some Star Fox cameos, and it would be the game of the forever!

God Hand-like 3D brawler, produced by PG, starring Captain Falcon, with kickass, tough as nails stages and interesting alien enemies and villians.

Fuck I'm hard just from from the mere idea of it

Man, I'm not even a very big fan of their games, but Platinum would be PERFECT for some kind of F-Zero spinoff. They are the absolute masters of that same goofy, over-the-top tone.

They call it Super Smash Bros. Melee. :D

I'm trying to imagine how this would play, I can't picture Falcon doing anything other than kneeing everything. And then finishing off each boss with a Falcon Punch.

But yeah, I agree, that'd be neat. I'm pretty sad to see MK8 infringing on F-Zero's anti-gravity territory, even though it looks good.

"Spin-off" implies that there exists something to begin with, to deviate from.
New racer. Nitnedno pls.

Yes I'm bitter, thank you very much.

I've had a similar idea for a while. An open world F-Zero game where CF playing up to his bounty hunter role with racing side missions throughout the city because of reasons. It would have to play like God Hand though.

I'll play this game if it is anything as the interesting "Quantum Redshift." "F-Zero" was perfectly fit for this comic book/racing title.
Even down to the counting in the native location's language was pretty awesome.
*I think we should spruce up the "F-Zero" forumula first. "Falcon-Punch: The Game" reminds me too much of "Bad Dudes."

I'd play it. I still want a sequel to GX for Wii U though

A Speed Racer style story (all those characters) with some crazy courses and backdrops and I'm sold.

Bonus for me personally if they added some Burnout type bumping and crashing action, but I understand if people feel that isn't what F-Zero is about.
